Breaking: Cruz Negotiating With Trump for VP Spot

A high ranking Cruz campaign official has told Elect Leaders that Sen. Cruz is in negotiations with Mr. Trump to become his Vice Presidential Nominee after Rubio dropped out Tuesday. Sen. Cruz has been the most consistent performer in primaries behind Trump. They are seeing the writing on the wall and want to negotiate from a point of strength which will evaporate over time.

The official stated Mr. Trump is interested in using Sen. Cruz’s ground game in the general election, likes his appeal to the conservative base and his stance on immigration. Of the other options for VP none hold as strong of an opinion on immigration outside of Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona who is also being considered.

Senator Cruz in exchange for his support is wanting to be named to the Supreme Court if an opening occurs while Mr. Trump is president. Mr. Trump does not see this as an issue and a small price to pay to bring Sen. Cruz his fundraisers, donors and staff on board

"Even if that is true -- which we don't know -- it's not the point you were making."

We do know. How many people were clamoring for George, Sr. to be on the ticket or they "wouldn't vote !" ? Probably enough to fit in a bathroom stall.

"Your point was that impure tickets lose elections. The Reagan/Bush landslides directly contradict that point."

They do lose elections. When George, Sr. was put on the ticket, he had to fake right, even though he didn't believe in it. He was inordinately lucky in that regard that he coasted for 12 years on an ideology he opposed. Funny thing is that if he had embraced it, he'd have gotten 16 years out of it and left another Republican to succeed him. Instead, he gave us Bubba the Rapist.

"And once again, you are deliberately refusing to recognize the distinction between having a RINO at the top of the ticket, and having a RINO as VP. Romney and McCain were RINO's at the top of the ticket. They lost. Reagan/Bush had a RINO as VP, they won in two landslides."

And again, we go back to it didn't matter whom Reagan chose in 1980 (short of the moronic John Anderson). I said reaching out to the left DOESN'T WORK for the GOP in getting votes. You're telling us here that Trump, who has some credibility problems with the right, should reach out to put a disastrous RINO like Pig Vomit or that puppet from Florida, Bubbles Roofio, as his VP, when I'm telling you that's an absolutely horrific idea. Nobody on the left is going to vote for Trump on the basis that he picks one of those creeps as his running mate. Conversely, the only reason I voted for the 2008 ticket was because I expected McQueeg to drop dead from the stress of the job and we'd have Palin. In 2012, I refused to vote for the ticket at all, because it was a Socialist orgy that was designed to lose, and did. Trump needs to pick a solid Conservative who will be the person to succeed him, and that's Ted Cruz.

Non eligible, not Natural Born Citizens, Cubans, Chihuahua Prespiration Marko and Pinocchio Desperation Ted attacking Big Donald at CNN freestyle match.

Cruz "character":
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote for Cruz.
2. Claiming Carson quit, presinc captains told voters "vote for Cruz"
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video "vote for me" with his preacher/father stomping for him. Rafael Cruz is a 7 Mountain Dominionist and believes his son is the anointed one.
4. "Brilliant" lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.
5. Making phony video advertising with lies about opponents.
6. Phony video about Rubio - Obama.
7. 7 Mountain Dominionist Church = Christian???
Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize, rinse and repeat?
Liar is the polite term for this Cuban. His father was pro-communist in Cuba, imprisoned by Batista, but now he is refugee?

IRREFUTABLE AUTHORITY HAS SPOKEN
(Oct. 18, 2009) The Post & Email has in several articles mentioned that the Supreme Court of the United States has given the definition of what a "natural born citizen" is. Since being a natural born citizen is an objective qualification and requirement of office for the U.S. President (and VP), it is important for all U.S. Citizens to understand what this term means.
http://www.thepostemail.com/2009/10/18/4-supreme-court-cases-define-natural-born-citizen/
Applies to Cruz and Rubio, both at the time not born to US citizens and on US soil.

It’s up to Cruz to prove it if he wants to survive through November.

HOWEVER, *if* Cruz is his VP, in that case, and in that case only, I *will* vote for Trump.

Say it ain't so Theo! Cruz can't change Trump's worldview via proximity. He can only demonstrate a compromised worldview himself.

Yes, we need to unite behind whoever becomes the nominee. I will vote for Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, or even Ryan. Any of them would be much better for the country than either Hillary or Bernie. I know this is heresy to many on FR.

If this story is true, I’ll consider it evidence Cruz has been full of crap all along (and I’m not a Trump supporter)

If the election were held today, who would be your first choice for President of the United States?

Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?

Who would be your first choice for Donald Trump's running mate?

“I believe I’m like a lot of Cruz supporters.”

If so, then a lot of Cruz supporters wiould be happy to see Hillary win the general.

Vice President in a Trump administration is a short route to obscurity. And Cruz doesn't want that

That is the difference between a man wanting to make America great again and a man wanting to make himself great.

Cruz should unite with Trump to avoid a Democrat victory, which would shift the Supreme Court and effectively overturn the First (Freedom of Religion and Political speech funding) and Second (individual right to bear arms) amendments. He could say yes, with the qualification that he who wins the popular vote or the delegate count runs as President and the other as Vice President (back to the Founders), although there is that issue of NBC lingering.

For some persp3ctive on the context of my comments, see tag line.

Unless you're communing with Nostradamus or have a really good Magic 8-Ball, your prediction about America and the world "not surviving" Obama is nothing but speculation and in the context that I posted JimRob's comment of yesterday for your consideration, your tagline is irrelevant and immaterial.
