Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump views protesters as disloyal people worthy of punishment and that the best response to Mr. Trump is to defeat him at the ballot box, reiterating his own pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee in the fall.
Mr. Cruz re-upped criticism of Mr. Trump for recently having rally attendees pledge their support to him, likening it to an action kings and queens demand of their subjects.
“It’s also reflected in his treatment of protesters, where anyone who’s a protester is disloyal and must be punished,” Mr. Cruz told reporters in Illinois ahead of the March 15 primary there.
“The only pledge that I am interested in, the only hand-raising that I’m interested in is on January 20, 2017, when I hope to raise my right hand with my left hand on the Bible and pledge to each and every one of you that I will preserve, protect [and] defend the Constitution and fight for the hard-working taxpayers,” Mr. Cruz said.

You’re confused: It’s TED CRUZ that’s claiming that’s what Trump said. Obviously, Trump has said nothing like that.

If I didn’t know better, I’d swear Cruz was trying to lose on purpose. He certainly is trying hard enough to lose on purpose.

Some protestors finally showed up at a Cruz rally today.
How much you wanna bet they were paid by the Cruz campaign to do it?

That common sense truism is costing Cruz votes. So today protesters magically appear at a Cruz rally (and not just any protestors, but gun grabbing, 2nd amendment hating protestors—the kind hated the most by conservatives).
I see Ted Cruz as disloyal to the voters he would need if by some cruel miracle he was running in the general election.
You do realize that was back in June of 2015 right? You tried to paint it like he attacked him recently...
And, “He is wrong” isn’t exactly an attack. It’s on opinion.
I used to just think Cruz was ineligible. Now, since the primaries started, every week I think he’s more and more of a complete jackass.
So much so, that I’m starting to even wonder about Texans themselves since they love this guy so much.

The sad part is, there is a small bunch who actually think the MSM is being honest and offering constructive advice.

I ALWAYS said that he gave the pathetic ‘yeah but’ [bull-poopie], and I saw NO other person who said that he never gave two sentences.
You just can’t handle the fact that your [less than optimal]candidate played you for a[n] [unwise person].
You go to a political rally. Plan on having some fun. Get to hear someone speak in person. And YOU get assaulted, ASSAULTED by a bunch of thugs. People were bleeding. People lost value out of their property. People were TERRIFIED because of these thugs. Your KIDS were terrified and put in danger from this feral mob.
And then tune in the next day and hear the person who you thought was a rival but who you assumed was ultimately a good guy telling you, “Oh sure, the protesters were bad people. BUT if your guy wasn’t such a bad person, it never would have happened!”
Oh, and then on Monday, Ted doubled down on that comment.

The comment I originally left on this thread was more profane than this one was even at the start. I was seeing red and spitting fire, let me tell you.
Hopefully two comments like that in one day won’t get me a time out.
It was an Epic Rant, and at least some vestiges of it should survive!
Backed Cruz.
Not going to happen. This won’t have 51 votes. I’m sure Cruz would’ve opposed TPA if he felt that TPP would pass.
I went to Lee facebook page and could not find an endorsement of Cruz. I know it was reported that he was going to but I don’t think he did.
