Got to agree with you; belittled the caller and dismissed him quickly from the phone. And then said Cruz (and Rubio) blaming Trump for the violence was only campaign rhetoric.
Terrible position by Rush.
The wall comes first, of course. Without that, deportation is just a revolving door.

Yup. Heard / saw Cruz say this (or similar quote) on Friday night as the Chicago riot was still going on, inside and outside of Trump's paid-for venue. Cruz was the first GOP candidate to rush to the cameras to blame Trump... he wasted no time.

The radio ads with Limbaugh pimping Cruz, the slanted MSM “news” at each half hour, and Limbaugh’s BS covering for Cruz and Rubio is too much. I don’t like propaganda. From the Left or the Right. I’m outta here....
Cruz, commenting on Chicago: “....when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that’s facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord.”
According to Cruz: Trump encouraged thugs & disruption & harassment & threats to his fans — by “encouraging violence”.
Cruz didn’t disavow the paid thugs and the organized coordination by many leftist groups who would be going after him instead of Trump — and if it happens to him, what will his own excuse be? Should we accept that Cruz “encouraged violence” at his own events?
I’m vert disappointed with Rush. He’s showing himself to be a GOPe supporter and Cruz no matter what.
He has said nothing about his comments on Friday concerning the false attack of the reporter.
He’s doubled down on covering for Cruz.

These people go to a Trump rally looking to start trouble knowing that any reaction from Trump or his supporter will further the narrative that Trump is a -———. It seems to me Trump and his supporters are showing a great deal of restraint.

My eyes are wide open now. It’s kinda like a gut punch. I expected Rush to double down...but I thought, at least for a while, that the Rush who I thought was a “truth detector” would punch back at Cruz and his duplicity.
Nah. Way cooler to side with the elites and take the swipes at Trump.
Rush’s perspective is that it’s not dirty politicking from Cruz to go after Trump using leftist tactics, and siding with paid thugs & organizations.
Rush seems to be saying all’s fair right now because the ultimate goal is to win against Trump using any tactics, even if it means Cruz going along with Rahm Emmanuel to win.
