Opportunist Ted Cruz: “Donald Trump is Responsible” For Organized Chicago Violence (video)…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Mar 11 2016 | Conservative Treehouse

Posted on 03/11/2016 10:25:59 PM PST by WilliamIII

This is quite stunning even for a politician as low as Ted Cruz. Senator Cruz has a prime opportunity to highlight the intolerance of the left. Instead he choses to attack Donald Trump:

At a media availability in Chicago, Ted Cruz basically blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

I just never ease to be amazed at people I once respected going off on a multi-post hate screed over a cobbled together headline that doesn't represent

I watched it live. My wife and I were disgusted. One, maybe two sentences blaming the protesters. About 5 minutes or more blaming Trump. Then the remainder of his time giving a stump speech. He had a chance to lead and he passed on it to score points with the media.

Political incorrectness isn’t always ugly, sometimes it’s just the truth.

Maybe that revered group, Only Black Lives Matter, should pay Cruz for speeches. A new and exciting career.

Rusty, please don’t feel too much disappointment in your fellow Cruz supporters.

We all know how partizan leftists can get. While they are far worse than us, human nature is what it is.

I’ve seen conservatives get whipped up on the wrong side time and again. For example, some tried to use a contorted definition to call gun grabbers ‘terrorists’. A few had called for militia uprisings, survivalism, EMP scares, etc.

Remember the Y2K fiasco? Prophets of doom who I tried to temporize. They refused to listen.

I caught myself getting sucked in too once in a while. Insisted on really foolish things. But I try to make myself eat crow. Just like you did.

It takes inner strength, and most people have a really hard time doing it.

Someone is still defending Cruz for blaming the victims?

Great Scott!

I don't like disrupters but is Trump's speech more free than theirs? If the venue is private then disrupters should be thrown out. Otherwise tough whatever to Trump.

Andele Arriba Cruz Eh!

Disrupting a peaceful gathering is denying others of free speech. Those goons flipped people off, tried to pick fights, and caused an entire rally to shut down. It might as well be classified as a riot. The police advised retreat.

THAT is free speech?

No its not, it shows the disgusting absurdity of the Cruzers trying to defend the indefensible actions of their guy. Its blaming the victims for being attacked.

Its compounded by the lies by edit and omission of what the left/GOPe claims Trump said and in the context it was said.

There is no moral high ground here for the ones trying to blame Trump for this.

The police advised retreat.

It's my understanding the police unilaterally cancelled the Trump rally.

Ted Cruz: Any candidate is responsible for the culture of the campaign. And when you have...a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence... you create an environment that only encourages this kind of nasty discord.

NOTE: The image on the left is an authorized campaign poster that was for sale for many months on the TedCruz.org campaign website.  For some reason it was recently removed from that website.

As they say...the truth hurts!

The PT Barnum Trump Circus act can be plenty entertaining.

The down side of The Trump Carnival is that all the nasty tweets, all the childish personal attacks, all the pornographic language & imagery, all the man-handling and threats of physical harm to protesters, and all the racist comments lends to a very polarized environment...violence is one outcome!

Trump will never win in this situation, which of his own making!

Trump reaps as he sows!

Well, he certainly didn’t defend Texas before SCOTUS in Lawrence vs Texas when he was the Solicitor General. The case that threw out all state sodomy laws and paved the way for gay marriage.

If people don’t see Cruz as the unlikable, scumbag, sleeze that he is they will never see it. Anyone who is truly a conservative and holds to those values would be appalled at the left’s behavior last night, not blame Trump. Mr. Haney, go back to your country store and sell sour grapes.

“Cruzers trying to defend it is like blaming the rape victim ...”

Neither Cruz nor “Cruzers” are defending the protestors. But I do condemn Trump’s acceptance of violence and encouragement of it. BOTH the protestors AND Trump are wrong, because both hold the same core value of accepting violence as a means of achieving their political ends.

Yes you are blaming the victims of attack both by your current actions and by the fact you repeat lies by omission of what was said. Editing and omitting the statements and in the context they made is dishonest.

Trump should win IL by 30 points. Enough of these BLM terrorists - fully supported by Hillary, Bernie, the Democrat party, Move On, and apparently Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, and the GoPe.
