This is quite stunning even for a politician as low as Ted Cruz. Senator Cruz has a prime opportunity to highlight the intolerance of the left. Instead he choses to attack Donald Trump:
At a media availability in Chicago, Ted Cruz basically blamed Donald Trump for the violence and protests that occurred earlier in the day at a Donald Trump rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Thank God you’re safe!
How in the he** can you continue to support Cruz? This isn’t the first thing he has said or done. I guess the fact that he is cozy with the Bushes doesn’t faze you? It’s quite apparent that you aren’t familiar with the background of the Bushes - they are much like the Clinton’s, only more subtle about it. When are you bots going to wise up? Does a house have to fall on you? I shake my head in amazement because Cruz is no different than Obama with his cult followers.
“but if you had told me even two years ago that my fellow conservatives would have lost their minds and become card-carrying leftists in the space of a few short months, I would have laughed myself to death.”
When Cruz sides with BLM, MSM, GOPe, Soros, Ayers, etc., and those thwarting free speech for a fellow candidate, I’d say that he’s become the “card-carrying leftist” in this scenario.
I may—tho there were Trump volunteers, staff and Secret Service on site, the ambush by the thug mob when we left the adjacent parking garage was pretty scary and thankfully not something that most of the Trump supporters had to endure!
Yes, indeed. I will also say thank God and goodness that a large group of Chicago’s finest rescued me and my friend from the angry mob!
Cruz is no more responsible for the violent acts of these thugs than Trump is. Having said that - he is responsible for who he sides with and he chose to side with the thugs. Anyone who can still support this POS needs their heads examined.
That quote, flowery as it is, is saying Trump is responsible for the violence.
Cruz can’t lay aside his “petty differences” because they aren’t petty. He is an entrenched establishment guy who his supporters are being deceived by. He is a nasty, creepy, POS.
“Cruz will be lucky if they don’t target him next.”
They won’t.
“Or maybe the far Left doesn’t consider Cruz a threat.”
They don’t.
He’s one of them — part of the “organized conspiracy”. That’s always been the position of the left — that free speech is for me, not thee. Trump and his supporters are excluded from the First Amendment, per Cruz.
“trying to restrain a shahultee”
What is a shahultee?
I guess the fact that he cozied up to the Bushes wasn’t warning enough for you huh? So, you believed this lying, treacherous weasel and wasted your votes. People warn others for a reason, but, most blindly fall in a ditch.
My goodness, he is an ugly man - inside and out.
“Kind of like: ‘Im not saying that shes responsible for having just been raped, Im saying that her short dress created an atmosphere that drove others to rape her.’”
Great! I was trying to think of a good analogy but couldn’t. (It’s late; I’m tired.)
“Would the GOPe use leftists to disrupt Trump rallies and ignite violence and blame it on Trump. YES THEY WOULD.”
And this is probably where the plan started, on 3/7/16 in Georgia at the secret meeting of:
Tim Cook, billionaire Apple CEO
Larry Page, billionaire Google co-founder
Sean Parker, billionaire Napster creator and Facebook investor
Elon Musk, billionaire Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder
Arthur Sulzberger, billionaire publisher of The New York Times
Philip Anschutz, billionaire businessman and GOP donor
Karl Rove
Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.)
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.)
Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.)
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio)
Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.)
Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.)
Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.)
Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas)
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.)
Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.)
Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas)
Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.)
Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.)
I cannot tell you how angry I was to hear that quote from Ted on the news when I had just returned from the Chicago Rally—
and those people, the 200 that ambushed our car, hated me...screamed at me and pounded on our windows because I was White...and I was exiting a parking garage next to a trump Rally...I had no bumper stickers, no buttons, and no beef with these rent-a-thugs...
They believed they had a right to hate whether based in reality or not...just like protesters in Ferguson
Ted, on the other hand, sought sanctuary in the safety of a suburban fundraiser, with $120+ dinners...
So easy for Ted to come out and make outrageous smug statements...he did not have the guts to hold an open, free rally in Chicago...and now he states it is Trump’s fault that mobsters want to squash Trump’s speech because it is not PC. Some “Constitutionalist” coward Cruz is! Shame on Ted!!!!!!!!!
Nothing would surprise me after tonite :(
“Actual terrorist Bill Ayers protests against Trump in Chicago.”
Was he really there? I told my sister when we were watching that I thought I’d seen him.
‘The astro turf Black Lives Matter group was rioting many months before Trump announced his candidacy.’
Brevity, the soul of wit.
“A dead serious question is who is ultimately paying them.”
It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see the signature, “Neil Bush”, on one of the checks.
Trump Rally Chicago 3/11/2016
The violent organized attackers were also carrying Communist flags
