Cruz, Rubio and Kasich criticize Trump for creating ‘environment’ for Chicago protest
The Washington Post ^ | March 11, 2015 | David Weigel

Posted on 03/11/2016 8:31:56 PM PST by lonestar67

"The responsibility for that lies with protesters, who took violence into their own hands. But in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord," Cruz said

And what they have done here is legitimize the protesters shutting down more rallies.

You have to admit when the Candidate stands there and says I’d like to punch that protester in the face..
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You have to admit that you are about to lie.

If I was standing next to you as you were typing and I kept spitefully hitting keys and not letting you finish your post, do you think you eventually would like to punch me in the face?

I agree, Trump very much created the environment for these riots.

He has repeatedly fed the rage, repeatedly refused to call for peaceful discourse. He has constantly allowed his crowds to do what they will to protesters.

I think that Donald J Trump, began with good intentions, but when the protesters began to grow in numbers he thought I will work my people into frenzies and they will take care of it. However I think the Secret Service began to get worried and refused to let him go on. Then the inexperience of Trump began to show, rather than deal with it in a constructive manner, he released the very loud, and upset crowd upon the protesters outside. It was like pouring gasoline on a fire. He either did not know it would happen, or did not care. The first says something about his experience level to do the job he is interviewing for, and the latter option says very much about his character.

I would like to head off at the pass that Trump couldn’t do anything because it was too late. Might I remind you that on the night of the MLK assassination Bobby Kennedy gave the speech in Indianapolis, and that every other major city had riots, but the city that Bobby spoke at no such thing. Being A leader, sometimes means making the hard choice, and appealing to the better parts of man. While Trump does neither, and in some cases does the exact opposite.

I have listened to just about every Trump rally since the first of the year and I will not now, especially now after what happened in Chicago, stand by and stay silent! Yes Trump has made statements about protesters. What you have done is to take Thom out of context of his interaction with the crowd. People know a joke, joshing around or a memory when it is relayed in story fashion. But Trump has gone farther to state numerous times that we abide by the law in our treatment of protesters. He also in one rally stopped his speech to inquire after a female protester who had fallen. That sir in no way incites anyone to violence!

I get you don’t like Trump, and it’s your choice. But when you post crap taken out of context, which is dishonest, expect to get nailed!

Beck, Cruz and Chelsea all say Trump is a racist. Beck and Chelsea say it outright. Cruz implies it by not telling Beck to shut the hell up.

“When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that is escalates,” Cruz said. “Today is unlikely to be the last such incidence.”

Cruz tonight proved himself to be a weasel weenie, in other words a typical, GOPe, professional politician lawyer.

I have never had as good a representative as I presently have in Senator Ted Cruz.

I am quite impressed that he has argued nine courses before the Surpeme Court.

I think many of those court cases have been decisive in preserving conservative values such as religious liberty and gun rights.

When cruz stood alone to shut down the Federal govt in 2013, I think that was decisive in switching the control of the senate to republicans. Had that not happened we would now have Eric Holder seated on the Supreme Court in place of Scalia.

I think Cruz has demonstrated again and again and again true conservative principles. He has not simply professed. He has acted decisively for the conservative voters of this nation.

You're standing in a pretty empty room tonight. Cruz support is falling off a cliff over this.

Maybe, but it is a pretty classy group. I rather hang with conservatives than be in a mob of authoritarian nationalists.
