After the GOP Debate ended, Drudge Report opened up its polls to get the consensus on who people think won the 12th Republican Debate. However, it has been reported that the poll was hacked and the numbers on Senator Ted Cruz were just generated by a bot.
The complaint was first submitted on Reddit, where a user posted a screenshot photo of the alleged incident. The photo showed a filtered result for users in Delaware. The report allegedly had more than 44,000 users in favor of Ted Cruz, while only 140 users voted for Donald Trump. Overall, 99.65 percent users supposedly voted for Ted Cruz.
When the error was found, Drudge Report reportedly paused the polls. With the new numbers up on the site, it appears that they have solved the issue. The current polls have almost 134,000 votes for Donald Trump and about 43,000 votes for Ted Cruz. Since the numbers for Ted Cruz appeared to be very similar to the hacked statistics, it is possible that they were not able to remove the hackers bot votes.

one down... 56 more states to go and cruz will win this thing...
GO CRUZ!
Crazy thoughts....time for another cup of coffee.
LOL
mr haney was a dealing businessman who loved the art of the deal more than anything...
hmmmm sounds like a presidential candidate, but not ted cruz... haney would build a wall and make those being kept out pay for it... haney would agree that eminent domain was a good thing too.
hmmmmm
Haney was a flimflam artist with a striking similarity in tone, appearance, and mannerisms to Cruz.
OP was brilliant for making the connection, because it really is uncanny.
If Cruz actually did the hacking I would be incredibly impressed.
A politician who can hack polls would be pretty cool.
Might want to put down the trump cool aid for a second... Cruz didn’t do it. He was busy doing a debate and interviews.
we see what we want to see.
and agree to trump being better than any democratic nominee, but i will bet trumps dealing will not sit well with most of his supporters in the long run.
jmho
GO TED!
Big deal, it is an Internet poll that means nothing.
Redditt is such a source of underground info like this.
Any chance it was planted by the Cruz campaign to throw people off their trail?
LMAO!! Drudge opened up that poll long before it ended..
Yep!
100% agree.
Trump and Cruz are by far the two best options we have.
But neither is perfect, both would likely disappoint. My guess is that Cruz supporters would be the more disappointed, because they seem blinded to the two-sided insider/outside game that he plays.
Trump supporters IMO have a more realistic view of things.
My hope had been a Trump/Cruz ticket, because in part I believe that is the only way that Cruz had a path to the presidency—though admittedly after a stint as VP.
Oh well. We’ll probably get a GOPe squish now at VP if Trump can somehow stave off the challenge from Cruz enough to win on the first ballot.
If he doesn’t, I expect the GOPe to get their squish to the top of the ticket instead.
Lol...Cruzbots.
For pete’s sake does anyone believe online polls?? Is the whole country stupid now?
I am the same...I stated several times if Trump didn’t get the nomination, I was for Cruz...
Well, I guess I still am, but Cruz has fallen quite a bit in my mind lately...
“Is the whole country stupid now?”
Pretty much.
Cruz supporters are beginning to remind me of the Ron/Rand/Ru Paulistas.
I noticed that the ‘Bot’ writer/user called Trump ‘Drumpf’. I can’t remember the user nae but there IS a Freeper who always calls Trump, ‘Drumpf’.
Something to think about.
IMHO, the pertinent question is "Who would stand to benefit from that?".
