Neil Bush, the son of President George H. W. Bush, who defrauded U.S. taxpayers out of $1.5 billion dollars in the savings and loan scam, and later peddled influence for the Chinese government, (who plied him with Chinese prostitutes) has formally endorsed Senator Ted Cruz for president. You cant make this stuff up.
This endorsement says much. Since the other, more politically involved Bush men have a distinct dislike for Mr. Cruz, I suppose Neil Bush is better than no Bush. Lets look at the wonderful memories that Neil Bush has left us with. First there is is that little banking charade he steered us into back in 1985.
Back in 1981, Neil Bush was director of Silverado Savings and Loan in Denver, Colorado. Neil was very generous, lending millions to pals Kenneth Good and William Walters. The $250 million in loans went into default, S.S. & L. went bankrupt and had to be seized by the Feds. Neil Bush walked away with a cool $100,000 personal loan which he never paid back. Documents released by the Office of Thrift Supervision detailed the conflict of interest charges against Neil. Federal regulators described him as unqualified, and untrained to be a director of a financial institution.
It seems Neil miscalculated just how much he knew about directing a mega financial institution like Silverado Savings and Loan. By the summer of 1990, the cost of bailing out the savings and loan industry would cost at least $500 billion! Neils Silverado adventure cost U.S. taxpayers $1.5 billion.

SHOCK: Trump’s official voting record released by NYC, shows he has been Repub since 1980
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3387449/posts
This is one of the most ridiculous articles that I have ever read. Cruz has fought the Bush family many times over the years and earlier in the campaign Cruz was the only candidate that George W. criticized by name.
I’d say it’s too late for that: multiple factions and multiple flavors of “conservatism” have already formed.
RNC does not have a super delegates. Read up on the rules.
They will take a vote...delegates have to vote based on who they are slated to vote for. If no one gets the 1237 needed then the delegates HAVE to be able to switch their vote to get someone to the magic number. Even if it’s the 2nd place guy having his delegates vote for the #1 guy. That is still a contested convention.
Not only that but born in this country as well

A close look at the “Law of Nations” indicates that location doesn’t matter.
Give up on Obama. His real father, Frank Marshal Davis, was an American. The only upside of that is that you can honestly call him a bastard. ;-)
Note the web address on this link, ‘Washington Post’. If it’s a hoax, it sure is a doozy.

Another report notes that Jeb is visiting Cruz before the Florida primary.

THE OLIGARCHS’ SUPER PAC ANTI TRUMP SAVAGERY [Buchanan]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3406407/posts
Fully 116 members of the GOPs national security community, many of them veterans of Bush administrations, have signed an open letter threatening that, if Trump is nominated, they will all desert, and some will defect to Hillary Clinton!
‘If no one gets the 1237 needed then the delegates HAVE to be able to switch their vote to get someone to the magic number. ...’
In other words, they can vote against the public vote which everyone wants them to represent. Same as super-delegates like I’ve been saying.
Do you realize that you are on the side of the GOP Establishment Kingmakers from Sea Island? They also want a contested convention. Doesn’t that creep you out? They are using Cruz. He’s foolishly letting them.
You might be right. But we can at least soften the disunity a little.
So let me get this straight: so believing someone has "conservative" policies gets us no where? Is that about right?
So what exactly is Trump's appeal again? Oh, "he's free from outside influences" that's right well, that doesn't get us much if he doesn't have "conservative policy stands" to begin with. Not that it would matter if he was conservative, since "conservative policy stands" don't get is much right? I guess that's why it really doesn't matter that just a few years ago he was a flaming liberal. Finally figured that out
For example, Ted Cruz says that he opposes TPP, but his voting record shows that he actually supported it.
He didn't (and doesn't) support TPP, he "supported" TPA in order to ensure the next president would have the ability to negotiate trade deals. (Doesn't every Trump supporter want that? For the Donald to "make deals"? I thought that was his big selling point)
Let this sink in: he voted for TPA to continue the ability every president has had since at least Nixon to negotiate trade deals. He (Cruz) did not and still does not support TPP! My goodness I don't have enough time in the day even if I didn't have a job to counter this, to put it mildly, obtuseness that continues to be repeated on FR as "fact".
Ted Cruz leads you to believe he is for States Rights, but his record at the FTC was to intervene in States actually exercising their rights
I have no idea to what this refers but I'm sure you (or someone) will either provide me with a link with nothing of substance or call me a name for not knowing about it. After all, that's the new face of "conservatism" these days a la the "Trump Phenomenon": obfuscate or call names when challenged with questions.
Donald Trump correctly captures this in the phrase: Lyin Ted
I'll give Trump credit for somehow making that meme stick to Ted Cruz, perhaps one of the most honest men in the Senate. It's truly a credit to Trump's skill in marketing to make such a false narrative stick.
It's sad though how all these falsities about Cruz have stuck, here on FR in particular. Where were all you Ted Cruz haters a year ago? Why did it take you all so long to figure out how much of a "liar" he is? What does that say about your ability to discern who's lying now?
Oh that's right. Trump isn't lying because well...he's Trump! Sorry, I forgot.
I see, so when Trump appeals to the other side, i.e.democrats and moderate republicans(which is the GOPe), it’s ok? I keep hearing that his appeal is broad.
The great mass of republicans can be considered moderate/conservative and are not the GOPe
No that’s not being a kingmaker. You’re talking about a brokered convention where they go in a backroom and then come out and say something like Romney will be our nominee (even though he wasn’t running).
The rules say you need 1237 votes. If you don’t get there nobody wins the will of the voter is undetermined. But let’s entertain your theory...what happens if Trump as 1000 delegates and Cruz has 1000 delegates? everyone else is under 200 delegates. Do they both become the nominee or do the other delegates get to change their vote to the person they think their voters would most likely back? If they can’t switch their vote to break the tie then what happens?
Felito Bush the outsider. He’s going to secure the border and restore the Constitution. LOL!
Cruz got his start in politics working for the Bush family.
Don’t waste rational argument on bots.
No Trump didn’t hire David Duke to work on his campaign. See how that works? LOL!
I know I’m right. Because we have multiple very distinct and even contradictory positions between various factions.
Prime example: Libertarian Conservatives (LC) vs Social Conservatives(SC).
LCs do not care what two or more consenting adults do in privacy, as long as they are not frightening children or livestock, and do not demand the Government support their preferred activities. SC’s, not so much.
Social Conservatives are generally pro-law enforcement and pro-military. LCs are wary of cops over-reaching, and wish to avoid overseas “adventures” that do not directly affect the security of the homeland. . .
I could go on, but I think you get my point. . .
I think we can all agree that Felito has jumped the shark at this point. :-)
Thanks for answer that for me. You missed the easiest one in the bunch though, so I’ll take that one on.
In regards to Authoritarian vs. Libertarian. I agree that is the struggle—and that’s why I’m a libertarian that supports Cruz. Trump is running his whole campaign based on authoritarian ideals. Meaning he’ll be the good king that brings common sense back to America...we just need to let him do his thing.
Also this struggle between Authoritarian vs. Libertarian is really only at the Federal level for me. I’m really a constitutionalist where I want a limited gov’t at the federal level (Libertarian) and then let the states compete for the best form of local gov’t. If big gov is your thing then vote for it at your state level then see how that works for you. If limited gov’t is your thing and you don’t need roads or schools then vote for that at your state level. Then people can freely choose which is best for them. And by doing this the role of the President (or King as we have now) won’t matter as much.
So which candidate will return the most power to the states? That’s who I’ll vote for. Right now I think that’s Cruz.
