You might be right. But we can at least soften the disunity a little.
I know I’m right. Because we have multiple very distinct and even contradictory positions between various factions.
Prime example: Libertarian Conservatives (LC) vs Social Conservatives(SC).
LCs do not care what two or more consenting adults do in privacy, as long as they are not frightening children or livestock, and do not demand the Government support their preferred activities. SC’s, not so much.
Social Conservatives are generally pro-law enforcement and pro-military. LCs are wary of cops over-reaching, and wish to avoid overseas “adventures” that do not directly affect the security of the homeland. . .
I could go on, but I think you get my point. . .
