During the Friday broadcast of his radio show, Glenn Beck said that if he were present at Thursday nights Republican debate, and had a knife, he would have stabbed Donald Trump.
I dont know what I would have done if I was sitting in Cruz or Rubios shoes, Beck stated. I cant say it that way. If I were on the stage, I would have said, have you been listening to him tonight? Have you been listening to what I say about him? I believe these things.
If I was close enough and had a knife, the stabbing just wouldnt stop.
The Secret Service has not responded to TheDCs initial inquiry on the matter.
“Would love to know from any SS types of there is this qualifies as a threat and merits a visit.”
The SS has teams of people with powerful computers checking out threats to Potus on line and reports like this 24/7/365.
Google and bing make that searching easier and more effective.
And Cruz campaigns with this guy.
Looks like John Nolte, who ran with the story on Breitbart, is retracting: https://twitter.com/NolteNC/status/705894730748583938
Nutball, you must have me confused with someone else. I simply noted hiring Bush staffer’s from a campaign that pissed away $100M....and bragging about it...made me question his decision making. I care about it because I care about it.
I didn’t mention Trump, nor have I said anything about Cruz not being a good President because he had not hired anyone. As a matter of fact, I like Cruz just fine and think he would be a very good President. I do however question several of his latest decisions.
I will just assume the voices in your head told you I was thinking something other than what I wrote.
Glenn...is that you? Ha ha
You guys are the ones who immediately knee jerked into making it about Trump. THAT IS ON YOU.
And no, I’m not fine with people threatening people. But I was listening to the show today and I heard exactly what was said, WHO it was said to and a) it was not a threat on Trump and b) it was three guys joking around LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO, on their show. So, technically it wasn’t an actual threat. I guess you don’t understand what sarcasm is....esp between friends, who joke like that all the time.
I’m not one to get my panties in a twist, assume the worst and make mountains out of mole hills, because I don’t like what someone is saying.
It’s actually rather funny, seeing you Trump supporters completely ignore actual things done and said by your guy, but then get in a dither over such trivial things. And then you have the gall to come here and chastise others, on your biased, illogical standards? Please.
Cruz is not going to disavow this nut if he can’t even disavow Romney, infact he went closer to Romney, but I do agree that beck was a massive mistake.
Do you have a link?
I hope your health is OK. See you were missing from FR for a couple of years.
It’s perfectly clear at this point that truthfulness is irrelevant here. The story is an outright (and obvious) lie, yet it remains at the top of the Breaking News sidebar for the better part of a Friday afternoon.
Free Republic has become everything it claims to stand against. This is shameful.
Woo boy.
Insane or secretly trying to help Trump?
“Cruz is no more responsible for Becks idiocy than Trump is for David Duke and the KKK nonsense created entirely by the media.”
True, but the difference is, Ted CHOSE to cozy up to this nutbag. That at least speaks to his judgment of others.
freepers are just giving beck the same benefit of the doubt he so generously extends to trump
I think that you are correct about a 5150 hold in Ca..
I too quit Cruz this week.
You have a point. This definitely will not help Cruz especially since Cruz has apparently remained silent. Or if he has spoken out about it, I have not heard it.
Hell no , he did mention about Romney though and say he agreed with Romney.
So much for Cruz being anti establishment.
New Beck Three $ bill?
Crazy Beck swearing in Ted Cruz as Faux President. Another critical Waterloo event!
Oh gee, it’s obvious he isn’t talking about stabbing Trump.... his cohost was ribbing him.... the conversation didn’t even flow to what he was saying about Trump....
He said “if I were sitting in their shoes”
and his cohost starts jacking around with him asking how he could “sit” in their shoes....
cruz has a great message, a strong core belief system, he’s a solid conservative...
...but he has zero ability to connect to people who are not already part of the choir. And YES, this will matter tremendously in a general. Cruz is an easy guy to hate based solely on his delivery.
This is the difference between Cruz and Reagan. Reagan had the ability to convince through his tone. To charm your senses, even if you didn’t agree 100% with him. When Cruz speaks you feel like you’re in a cold pond being baptized by the village snake handler.
It’s a shame too. He’s a good man.
I wonder if they visited Lindsey Graham for similar comments about a presidential candidate?
Or does anyone even care??
Did you read the article? This is not as it seems.
