The remaining Republican presidential candidates come to Detroit to debate Thursday with Donald Trump maintaining a 10-point lead over his closest competitors in Michigan's March 8 primary in a new poll commissioned by the Detroit Free Press and other media outlets.
According to the poll, Trump, who scored key wins in seven of the 11 states making their GOP picks Tuesday and holds a sizable lead in delegates needed to secure the GOP nomination, remains the presumptive favorite. Some 29% of those surveyed were backing him outright or were leaning toward doing so in next Tuesday’s Republican primary in Michigan, compared with 19% for Ted Cruz and 18% for Marco Rubio. The poll, which surveyed 400 likely Republican primary voters Saturday through Monday, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

Rubio said he expects to do well in Michigan, as does Kasich. Trump has two rallies scheduled in Michigan on Friday at Warren and Cadillac.

That is down 5 points from the last poll taken in Michigan. It will be interesting to see if this is an outlier or the beginning of a trend.

I don’t see your remark about absentee ballots in the article.
Yes, I know what is on RCP. This poll just came out, and was taken from Friday through Monday. So the last 2 polls out of Michigan have shown a downward trend for Trump. Is it a trend or a coincidence? Too early to tell.

And I’ve not even mentioned Trump “wants to fund PP”, milked thousands out of money at Trump University, hired illegal polish workers to build the Trump Tower, gave millions to the Clinton Foundation (because we all know he likes terrorist organizations), has filed personal bankruptcy ten times, and last but most least steals cookies from the girl scouts. If you’ve not heard about all these crimes of Trump, have no far the crazy Canadian will get you up to speed. Almost forget, Trump also wants to do away with the 2nd Amendment and loves Obamacare. Just ask Canuck Ted. And he’s a “con artist”, just ask foam boy.

After all the Trumpmentum from last night (not reflected in this poll), I expect Trump will be in an even better position than this poll suggests.
I don't think anyone believes Trump wants to do away with the 2nd Amendment. But he has supported some practices that are not consistent with the 2nd Amendment, such as the "assault weapons" ban, longer waiting periods, etc. Not a deal-breaker by itself for most people, but a negative to be considered.
You seem to be of the opinion that by using reductio ad absurdum techniques of exaggerating the claims of Trump opponents and then ridiculing them that you can somehow negate the validity of the criticisms themselves. Maybe that will work for the die-hard Trump supporters, but not for the rest of the people, any more than Clinton dismissing every charge against her as "old news" will work for her.
The trend is our friend.

He does want to fund PP... he’s said so repeatedly. He just says he wants them to stop doing abortions. As if.
He has colluded somewhat with the KKK and even said he doesn’t know who Duke is.
He did milk money out of naive but innocent people who believed that the seminar would make them rich, just like Trump promised.
He did donate to the Clinton Foundation.
He has filed bankruptcy multiple times.
But I do not believe that he has stolen from the Girl Scouts. At least not that we are currently aware of.
