Stuart Stevens called Trump "a dangerous person" and "someone who would embarrass America."
The Republican Party's top strategist in the 2012 election would rather see Hillary Clinton as the next president than Donald Trump.
"Personally, I think Hillary Clinton would be a better president than Donald Trump because I think that Donald Trump is a dangerous person and is someone who would embarrass America," Stuart Stevens, who advised 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, said Tuesday on Bloomberg's "With All Due Respect."
"I have no desire to see Hillary Clinton as president of the United States," he added. "But if this is the choice -- I will not give her my vote, but I can't support Donald Trump."
Stevens joins a growing number of Republicans who are speaking out and pledging not to back Trump if he wins the GOP nomination. Rep. Scott Rigell (R-Va.) emailed supporters Tuesday and said he refuses to back someone "so lacking in the judgement, temperament and character needed to be our nation's commander-in-chief." Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said he will look for a third-party candidate if Trump makes it to the general election....

The rhetoric that has spewed from republican corners after last night’s results makes my head explode.
Hey Peggy Noonan, NEWSFLASH: The republican party didn’t shatter last night. The party crumbled over the last 6 years while Trump was firing celebrities on ABC.
It crumbled while republicans were stacked in the congressional houses and did NOTHING to stop Obama.
It crumbled when it was discovered that the IRS was being used to destroy the tea party and republicans did nothing and no one was held accountable.
It crumbled when 4 Americans were murdered and dragged thru the streets of Benghazi and not only was no one held accountable for the failure that led to it and the lies that followed, but the chief orchestrator of that debacle is now the democrat nominee.
To blame Trump for the ‘shattering’ of the republican party brings my blood to a boil. I was never a Trump fan, but now...I will pull the lever for Trump.

Romney lost because he had too many Democrats helping run his campaign, pushing him left in order to be “moderate”, while being sympathetic if not outright loyal to the left.
For example, the adviser to Palin that put her in hundred thousand dollar fashions before throwing them out and advertising that fact was actually a Democrat trying to undermine her.

You have obviously bought into the Uniparty's preferred illusion - that there are two opposite teams, more or less of equal strength, that one is good and the other is bad, and that you should exercise your piece of sovereignty by choosing a team, wearing their T shirt, and voting the way they tell you.
You are so bought into this that you call your neighbors "demonrats" and you imagine that there are "good Republicans" betrayed by a small minority of RINOs who, nevertheless, keep getting elected to important offices.
But it's not like that at all. Your "demonrats" are as much an illusion as the idea that RINOs aren't really what the Republican Party is all about.
There ARE two parties, after all, Americans and Globalists. The Americans - Democrats AND Republicans - form a strong majority.
But, using the ancient and highly effective strategy of divide et impera - Divide and Conquer -a small minority of highly educated and socially cohesive people have us at each other's throats while they dissolve the nation under our feet.
Most Democrats, many of whom are your neighbors, are patriotic, good people who see some things differently than you do.
Open your eyes, and see our rulers of the Uniparty for what they are.
