John Sununu, the former New Hampshire senator and John Kasich supporter, urged Republican voters to choose the strongest nominee they can someone who will win. But he thinks Republicans may look at alternatives if we have a nominee who is a disaster for the party.
On Breitbart News Daily, Stephen K. Bannon asked Sununu what he thought about the potential for a third party candidate should Trump become the nominee. Sununu cautioned that if Hillary Clinton is not defeated, she would continue Obamas agenda, and would be able to appoint a Supreme Court nominee.
That is one of the reasons why people need to look at John Kasich because he will win. Hell win Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Sununu added, claiming that top contenders Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% and real estate developer Donald Trump have no chance to win those states against Hillary Clinton.
Whoever the nominee is, I think and I hope that Republicans support them, but what youre talking about is a hypothetical where what happens if we have a Donald Trump who is running 10, 15 points behind HIllary Clinton, Sununu said. Theres been a lot of polling showing Trump is the weakest Republican we could put up.
What Republicans will do, if we have a nominee who is a disaster for the party, a nominee who is trailing badly, are they going to look at alternatives? I cant tell you, he added.
I want a Republican who is strong, who will generate broad support across the spectrum, Sununu said of Ohio Governor John Kasich, who he is supporting.

Hey, maybe they can get McCain to run again!
See and all this time I thought it was the American people who chose the nomination for president.
Bob Dole says that Bob Dole is available, and ready to serve.
Lindsay is willing to forgive and forget.
Or Willard.
As out of touch and ignorant you thought the Establishment GOP was, it is really 100 times worse than that.
So does he really think Casick will win the south?
Honestly, I would support this. Please let this happen
ABT.
Somewhere along the line, so-called conservatives went from knowing that following the Constitution would allow us to have our country back. They now have fallen for the belief that putting their trust in one man will allow them to have their country back.
I don’t know man. trumpsters are kind of crazy (in a good meaning way)
they won’t like this at all.
How about Dole / McCain? That’s the ticket!
Seriously, they should be looking for what is best for the country, not the party. Guess that is too much to ask.
Former GHWB Chief of Staff dragged across the stage leaving streak.
Romney could always start a 3rd party!
Maybe one where oeople actually like him enough to vote for him without holding their noses
So the Republicans are going third party. Hey, what about the pledge?
Notice how he’s worried about disaster for the PARTY? Where’s his worry about the country?
Whoknew sunuknew was more a party animal than a patriot?
I knew.
You knew.
We all knew
Sununu!
I’m blowing him off, as usual.
The GOPe is begging for citizens to march on DC.
REBELOOTION!!!!!
Prepare for political oblivion GOPE. You don’t get to demand we back what every tool you throw up for 30 years then decide to jump ship because you lose the election.
Party loyalty works both ways so IF you want to be politically irrelevant for the rest of your career, try this bit of idiocy.
They could form their own party and even their own state. The capital could be on K street in DC
They could call themselves “republicrats”
