CNN anchor Jake Tapper repeatedly asked Donald Trump on Sunday to denounce David Duke's support for his candidacy, but Trump insisted he didn't know anything about about the former KKK grand wizard.
"Will you unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you don't want his vote and that of other white supremacists in this election?" Tapper asked Trump on "State of the Union."
But Trump, the Republican presidential frontrunner, said he didn't have enough information to answer the question:
I don't know anything about David Duke, OK? I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists. So I don't know. I mean, I don't know — did he endorse me or what's going on? Because I know nothing about David Duke. I know nothing about white supremacists. And so you're asking me a question that I'm supposed to be talking about people that I know nothing about.
BuzzFeed reported last week that Duke, a prominent white nationalist, urged his supporters to back Trump. Duke was quoted saying on his radio show that "voting against Donald Trump at this point is really treason to your heritage."
On his Sunday show, Tapper continued to press Trump on the subject.
"Even if you don't know about their endorsement, there are these groups and individuals endorsing you. Would you just say unequivocally that you condemn them and you don't want their support?" he asked Trump.
But Trump again insisted again he didn't know about Duke:
I have to look at the group. I mean, I don't know what group you're talking about. You wouldn't want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. I have to look. If you would send me a list of the groups, I will do research on them.

But Trump does know who Duke is. Trump is on record at least twice on 2000 commenting on Duke’s joining the Reforrm Party. Trump specifically said Duke as a bigot, a racist, a member of the KKK, and was bad for the Reform Party.
Trump is either lying about not knowing wh Duke is, or is suffering from age-related memory problems. Trump repeatedly called out Duke when Duke joined the Reform Party.
An IQ of 175.......... “We have to get rid of those lines around the states”.
So either he has an IQ not even close to 175 OR he thinks he has to explain his message in more elementary/remedial terms so the dumb people he is talking to can understand. You pick.
Once Jake Tapper gave off signs of becoming an honest man.

Ever since he announced his candidacy, you establishment republicans joined forces with the Uniparty to attack Trump. This thread itself is an example of a coordinated attack against him, perpetrated by Cruznadians.
And the recent debate was a coordinated attack against him by your cubans and cnn.

He could his staff to brief him on who is David Duke and the KKK. I thought he as going to hire the best and brightest to advise him?
That said, he cannot control who endorses him. So the question was a set up and a trap. I don’t blame Trump for refusing to answer a media set up question, but he should have had a better response prepared ... a real zinger, which we know he is capable of.
At the very least he could say that David Duke, like everyone else who is a citizen, is free to vote for whoever he wants and to endorse whoever he wants. Doesn’t mean that Trump endorses him back.

So what is Trump doing? He’s spoken out in the past about Duke...why not now? That kind of crap, black AND white should be thoroughly disavowed by both sides. I don’t give a damn what the libs do, but I expect any Republican running to smack down on KKK types.
