Since the first GOP presidential debate last August, Fox News Channel seems to have lost its perception mojo with its core right-leaning audience.
By mid February, FNCs perception by Republican adults 18 and over had reached its lowest point in more than three years, and has declined by approximately 50% since January of this year.
Coinciding with Trumps rise to front-runner in the GOP presidential race, Fox News Channel has seen its perception by Republicans slide. In early August 2015, right after the first GOP debate aired on Fox News Channel,Trump went on a Twitter war with moderator Megyn Kelly, saying she bombed and calling her a lightweight reporter.
The picture hasnt been rosy in terms of the general population either: since last May, Fox News Channels perception levels with adults 18+ have uncharacteristically been drawing significantly more negative feedback than positive. At this point, both FNC and CNN are scoring at similar perception levels and they are both negative.
To measure perception of the two networks, YouGov BrandIndex used its Buzz score, which asks respondents: "If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?" A score can range from 100 to -100 with a zero score equaling a neutral position.
On January 1, 2013, Fox News Channels Buzz score with Republican adults 18 and over was 49. By the first GOP debate last August, the score had dropped to 38. The downward momentum accelerated earlier this year when Fox News Channels score dropped from 36 on January 18th to 14 on February 12th. Trump declined to participate in FNCs sanctioned GOP debate on January 28th. Fox News Channels current Buzz score is 17.
That one's a keeper.
Yes, they had been concealing that they are LIBERALS UNDER COVER and now they are exposed. Reasonable Americans are turning away from the secretly-progressive Fox news. (Or should it be Faux News?)
Americans have already turned away from CNN and MSNBC. We are coming for Faux News and its sponsors next. (Jesse Jackson, take note!)
You don't get it. You really don't get it. Trump supporters for the most part don't want a "Republican"as President, and certainly not just any Republican as President.
Our watch word is GOPe delenda est. It is to be deracinated and the ground on which they stand sown under with salt. They are the definition of moral rot and corruption.
That Trump has to run as a Republican is a detriment not a point in his favor. The Republican party attempting to vet him is like Tojo vetting McArthur. He is sent their for their destruction not their approbation and affirmation. They get that, but you crewzoids don't.
Yes, thus perpetuating and validating a deceptive, contrived political meme.
We will have to agree to disagree. The “war on women” was always a falsehood. Kelly was not seeking to illuminate skeletons in the Trump closet. Before the debate she stated that “by tomorrow one of these candidates may be out of the race.” She was attempting to character assassinate in a leftist, feminist fashion because she did not approve of the candidate. That is not her job as a moderator, thus she took advantage of her position to interject her own political biases on the contest.
You find that fair? I do not.
I switched to FOX Business... they have Stuart Varney, Charles Payne, Maria Bartiromo, Trish Regan...pretty good line up and not a bunch of GOP e hacks like Megan.
On election night it’s usually Cavuto over there and i switch back and forth to CNN ( yeah i know) for their analysis of state and county turnout is better and I don’t have to watch Karl Rove with his white board.

Switched to FBC about a year ago. I bet their numbers are up.
BS. Her lead in gotcha question on Trump was the worst debate question in almost a generation of elections. It was despicably delivered, totally irrelevant and purposely targeted for reasons other than eliciting a pertinent response. Frankly, that one question erased the facade on Fox and showed it's true GOPe motivation.
Ooopsie! Things didn't work out as planned, and Fox has been engineering payback against Trump (how dare he expose us) ever since.
I take it you wanted a Democrat to be elected president?
My question is admittedly absurd but why do you paint me with that same brush? You know damn well I have been fighting for the tea party and for the Ted Cruz version of conservatism for years. You know fully well that I understand the difference between the Republican Party and the establishment of the Republican Party. The alternative to getting a Republican elected is to get a Democrat elected and that was the meaning of my remark and you know it.
Megham Kelly as a so called debate moderator thought she could pull a femino-Nazi move on Trump, right out of the Hillary-Alinsky play book. As a result FOX News Network has suffered a devolutionary shift in its ratings among conservatives.
Fox gave Kelly a holiday , and made the mistake of calling her back. Now she cost Fox news millions in revenue. I hope they like it. Since then Kelly has been insinuating against Trump consistently, to no avail.
Its a whole new world out there. And Trump has defined it, calling Kelly a “light weight.” IN truth Kelly is a little liberal fascist femino nazi who thinks it’s her personal duty to offend free speech by spinning election broadcasting to mal-inform the people as a matter of social control. Both Kelly and her bosses at Fox can just go eff themselves.
Well I do get them. They are cynical nihilists. They stand for nothing. I know it. Apparently you don't.
I am a Trump man, used to be a Cruz man until his supporters so put me off. After that I am a Bernie man - anything to end the DC conspiracy against the American people. Anything.
I take it you don't live in DC so you cannot possibly get how bad it is, how the rot has seeped into the fiber of every timber in the place, how the original swamp that was DC has reinfested the ground that was our capital city.
There is no difference. The fate of the elected Tea Partyers has amply demonstrated that, to my great regreat, and yours to I presume.
Kelley’s conflation of comments specific to an extremely abrasive (female) individual as being general commentary is one example of the dishonesty of the attack. By using the words he said in a reference frame far more universal than the actual frame of his statement, she discredited the attack.
It's become nothing but one big 24/7 infomercial of Trump.
We just keep it off. I'm tired of seeing his face on TV already. I can't imagine suffering through an entire 4 years of it!

Well at least Fox still has Megs and her homies.
