Cruz will Endorse Rubio over Trump (Vanity)
VANITY

Posted on 02/25/2016 8:38:27 PM PST by TigerClaws

That was THE bombshell of the night. Post debate interview Cruz said he'd endorse Rubio (open borders, Scamnesty, establishment boy toy) over Trump.

Obviously a deal what cut (promotion at Goldman Sachs for Cruz's wife likely included) where Rubio and Cruz got together pre-debate to bash Trump. They'll endorse each other if they lose their home states.

Just as soon as you let Cruz know he blew his cover irreparably last night. Saying open borders, GOPe, amnesty-pimp Rubio would make a good president tells you/us Cruz has been faking all this time. He doesn’t care about US culture or sovereignty, and he’s not anti Establishment. He’s just pro Cruz.

“He’s the best at answering a question directly, and he has a streak of irony and humor in him.”

Be careful what an “open mind” can get you.

Such as, if you want to disregard his treachery to the voters in Florida who sent him to Washington to do a job for them that he had promised them faithfully to do, and then betrayed them all in a few days.

Or if you wish to forget that he votes for the Obama agenda every chance he gets, and then correctly describes the Obama agenda as a purposeful destruction of the United States.

And if you want to overlook that he is for amnesty for many millions of illegals, which, with chain migration loopholes, half of Mexico will move legally into the United States.

And there we have it, just like what we have been saying, Cruz is pure GOPe ... hence all the talk of a contested convention ... looks like Cruz’s talk Radio buttboys have been fully outed - Levin, Beck, and Limbaugh ..they are all GOPe shills

Of course Cruz is part of the establishment. He's the pretty conservative girl that distracts us all from what the parties are really doing. While we sit there and cheer on Ted Cruz the parties are continuing business as usual. Cruz is ineffective and they keep him around because he draws conservatives and conservative donors to the Republican party. But nothing changes really.

I don't support Rubio, but like him better than Cruz. And I will recognize that he makes a much better impression on stage and in interviews than Cruz does.

Until last night, I thought Rubio could be mentored by Trump. Now I'm not so sure.

That article is interesting. It brings up an important issue. In education, vouchers, charter schools and loans to students have created more problems than they solved. Why do I say that? The only way to improve education is to raise disciplinary and academic standards on the local and state level. Get the federal gov OUT of education!

It looks like Rubio supported one of the biggest for-profit education offenders. That's bad. But what about the students? Rubio's spokesperson said that's why he supported keeping the schools opened during the investigation.

Like anything else, it's harder to wind down a problem than it is to cause it. So, I'd say Rubio's letting the schools stay open for the transition is misguided, but not necessarily evil.

Until last night, I thought Rubio could be mentored by Trump. Now I’m not so sure...

There is a huge chasm between Trump and Rubio - immigration. They are polar opposites and there is no remediation for Rubio on this enormous issue.

I am dismayed by Cruz. By pairing with Rubio, Cruz is burning every bridge that got him to his high perch today. His renegade advisors and managers including Beck, Cruz’s lack of control over them, his over-the-top father assuming a major role in the campaign, his religion first approach which dilutes his anti-Washington anti-status quo message, and now this “endorsement” of Rubio - it makes me wistful for the old Ted from a few years ago.

For me, even the TPA situation didn't turn me away from Cruz. I thought he made a rookie mistake concerning trade, though it's hard to see how the damage can easily be undone. Besides that, I did not like, at all, Cruz supporters badgering me when I had legitimate questions about TPA. I still clung to some false hope.

The point of no return was the aggressive campaign donation solicitations over the holiday season. It became a campaign that was more about money and less about restoring a Constitutional Conservative government.

Now, nothing would have me stop supporting Trump. What DC needs is fumigation. Four years of Trump supervising that might be the only chance the US has.

“The headline uses ‘will endorse’ not ‘endorsed’.”

Point taken. The way things look right now, it would probably be Rubio endorsing Cruz.

You know, I’d normally laugh at you, but right now I’m just flabbergasted that you’d throw the country over to liberals via amnesty-Rubio, wreck all conservative causes at the ballot box, and ensure that abortion laws never get overturned just because you hate Trump THAT much.

Who gives a crap if Rubio is pro-life or not? Doesn’t matter right now, because he’s eager to cause the rape and murder of innocent people, not to mention throwing the country over to the pro-abort liberals in order to support open borders.

I guess I can laugh at that. Theater of the absurd here. You’re SUCH a consistent conservative that you’re all in for liberal dominance.

HA!

Trying to nuance away reality, are we?

Cruz stood in front of the entire nation and told us that gang-of-eight Rubio was better than Mr. Wall, Trump.

Simple as that.

And Cruz supporters who would rather gargle draino then to vote for Go8 Rubio ?

***

Despite all my obnoxious guffawing upthread, that’s a good question.

I have no problem with supporting Cruz as he presented himself. The issue is that the mask is coming off, and he turned out to be just another politician trying to fool us into voting for him.

The ideal Cruz that most of his supporters (myself included) thought that he was is morphing into the creepy sleazy Cruz that is coming out more and more.

Too many Cruzers (as opposed to Cruz supporters) on FR have shown this trait. It’s kind of unsettling. I’m not sure how long it will take to get over this after he finally drops out, but it’s going to take some therapy for at least some of them.

S’true. Just look at this thread.

And while I freely admit to gleeful obnoxious rubbing-of-face-into-it upthread, I’m pretty sad that Cruz turned out to be... well, you saw it. And while I want to laugh at the crazies who I know that I’ll never be able to reach, I do want to be around for the Cruz supporters who were deceived like I was a few months ago.

Then vote Carson if that’s what you really think.

Cruz has proved himself to be sleaze incarnate by this point.

How far we have fallen.

You’re campaigning for Cruzie to win his own state and playing it like some kind of great victory if he does.

Heh... hah... hahah.
