Senator Cruz is the most honest and honorable candidate that I have seen in a while. He has stood up for his beliefs. He is portrayed constantly as unpopular and now he is portrayed as dishonest. The constant repetition of these attack articles are meant to destroy Senator Cruz.
Ted Cruz - The charm of Barry Goldwater and the ethics of Richard Nixon. - GO TRUMP!!!
Trump is not an honorable person.
I agree 100% with your post. It is distressing when a truly honorable Constitutional Conservative is smeared like this. I wonder which campaign is sending plants to his rallies to vilify him.
Yesterday, Trump said that Cruz has decided to give up lying (at least about Trump), and therefore will feel much better about himself going forward.
All that as background to your ...
-- The MSM is going after Ted Cruz and trying to destroy him. --
I agree with that. They are "late to the party," and assuming what Trump suggested is true (that Cruz will back off the obvious, direct falsehood), criticism from the press is not justified. Bygones be bygones, there are election contests in the past, and decisive ones in the future.
For Pete’s sake, Cruz is a liar. Three different men running for president with diverging interests know it.
The sooner Cruz supporters realize the fatal flaw in their candidate the better. It is time for them to come out from under that cloud and see what is really going on.
A revolution is underway. Get onboard or get left behind.
“The MSM supports the continual lies by Obama and Hillary Clinton.”
MSM supports Trump and Trump’s continuous lies and character assassination.
This is absolutely dispicable.
It is now causing me to rethink staying on FREE REPUBLIC and listening to this garbage.
UNTIL DONALD TRUMP started attacking Ted...he was highly regarded here.
I will NOT VOTE for TRUMP and feel I am swimming against stream here now.
SAD DAY for America and for Christians.
I don't see any "brown shirts", just red, white and blue.
Campaign did a !lot to themselves.
Senator Cruz is the most honest and honorable candidate that I have seen in a while.

That may well be. But ultimately his campaign lies at his feet. His choice of
campaign managers, direction, policy, etc all end at his door step, not theirs.
So what does that say about his organizational, management and political ability skills?
Cruz moves from position to position frequently. Maybe that is good to accumulate
skills, knowledge, etc but so far it apparently hasn’t helped him that much. It will
be interesting to see if he runs for the Senate when this term is up. My guess is no.
The size of the win by Trump in South Carolina was caused by the media. Lying and deliberate misquoting what the Pope Francis said and inserting Trumps name into it. Which would require a Trump response.
It was that Trump reply that resounded big time with the evangelists. Avoiding citing this does not mean it did not happen or that the media did not do it.
This is why I’m having trouble committing to vote for Trump if he is the nominee. Every time he screams, “liar” he is lying.
Trump is running a sleezy campaign so that he can avoid discussing issues. He is unstable.
Once again, I may have to hold my nose when I vote. At least I can take satisfaction in knowing I was not to blame. Yawn.
Demagoguery can be effective.
Still....
National polls show Cruz beating Trump by 15% in a head-to-head matchup.
So plenty of decent Americans see through Trump’s and Rubio’s lies.
But the GOPe has thrown in with Trump, funding Rubio and preventing a Cruz/Trump race.
I don’t believe the allegations of Cruz lying but that I’ve never thought he had a chance.
Cruz is finished, for a whole host of reasons.
If you have any doubt about that, watch his speech from last night, then look in a mirror, and look yourself in the eye and try to say honestly to yourself: I believe the Cruz campaign is still alive.
Ted Cruz has been engaging in dirty trix since Iowa. The chickens are coming home to roost.
It wasn't hurt by their own actions; oh, no, it was hurt by opponents quite naturally taking the advantage of pointing out their actions. So much for a "principled" conservative. Blame is the liberal way right down the line.
