Loretta Lynch: We’ll Position DOJ to Do Obama’s Work ‘Long After’ We’re Gone
Brietbart ^ | 1/11/16 | Ben Shapiro

For all those who revel in the fact that there are 374 days until President Obama finally gets the hell out of the White House, a cautionary note: Obama and his colleagues are rigging the bureaucracy so that their unique brand of “hope and change” extends far beyond their tenure.

The latest evidence: Attorney General Loretta Lynch told New York Magazine this week, “My goal is to position the [Department of Justice] where it will carry on in all of these issues long after myself and my team have moved on.” She was responding specifically to questions about how she planned to prosecute gun sellers under Obama’s new executive actions.

Lynch, unlike her predecessor Eric Holder, isn’t a bomb-thrower. Like President Obama before his self-deification, Lynch hides behind vagary and a general sense of reasonableness. “We went in thinking We’re going to ask her the toughest questions we can come up with,” says Steven Edwards, a lawyer who interviewed Lynch for a local bar publication. “And we couldn’t lay a glove on her.” As New York Magazine states, Lynch simply ran out the clock on

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)
97%

’s (R-TX) questions to her during her confirmation hearings.

Try to exercise some critical thinking here and analyze what could that statement mean? What would one have to do in order to protect current executive orders so they remain active long after Obama leaves office?

Perhaps she means the DOJ will file lawsuits aimed at enforcing the orders. Once the suits are “in the system,” they can churn on for many years, regardless of changes in administration. And of course, the same DOJ employees will still be there, stonewalling any attempts to change the agency’s direction.

This is where you have to go in to the Just-Us Dept, and the State Dept and expurgate everybody.

Then next thing to to is go after teh federal judges appointed by this administration too.

embed the data processors ... little, insignificant people that actually type up the laws and rules, etc

Say Congress passes a law that says all guns with a red stripe are outlawed ... once the final draft is approved, it goes to the printer .... who omits the "with a red stripe" clause

The last person in a chain is a god.

Once everybody has examined and agreed ... it is forgotten

I believe her thinking is to embed a rank and file cadre of DOJ employees committed to Obama and the progressive agenda, The apparatchik so to speak that are protected from political firings and who can gum up the directives of a say a Trump or Cruz.

Look for a major clean-up after Obama of the DOJ.

He may not be able to fire the career service people, but his AG certainly can assign them to Alaska to prosecute poaching on federal lands.

Clinton asked for and received the resignation of every appointee in the AG’s office in every state.
We are aware that the bureaucracy is the roadblock to change in government. Congress can change that by voiding all government employee union representation.
Unions were illegal in government before Kennedy. Many states have become right to work. The feds can do the same.
The rules for termination can be rewritten to include ideology.
Pay scales can be substantially reduced.
The size and scope of government must in any case be substantially reduced, by, say, 90%.
These would be good beginning steps.

Labor Secretary Scott Walker should work to get rid of all government unions. Then the cleanup of DOJ and State will be easier.

You have to bust up the bureaucracy by naming pitch fork wielding appointees. These appointees will immediately read the riot act to the SES crowd and when they do not fall in line you make their lives so miserable that they either leave on their own or get relieved. By then you have got the attention of the lower ranks and they will quickly fall in line.

This is stopped by firing EVERY SINGLE US ATTORNEY in the country at 12:01 PM, January 20, 2017. Fire EVERY cabinet secretary, every executive level appointed assistant, manager, oversight person has infested this government with. Have US Marshalls at the ready to deliver the termination letters and to escort them off the premises immediately.

Also, issue an new Executive Order all executive agency departments, branches and units to IMMEDIATELY CEASE all actions being effected by the previous Executive Orders until a full review can be undertaken.

As others have remarked upthread, political appointees can be purged, but the career civil service people are very, very hard to shift. It would be extremely interesting to see a President attempt to dismantle the civilian personnel system, but I don’t expect it in my lifetime.

When the mushroom clouds disperse, there will be nothing left but cockroaches and government employees with six-figure salaries, huge pension guarantees, and the best health insurance plans.

Which candidate is most likely to give the DOJ the enema it so sorely needs? CRUZ! Trump the dealmaker will not. Think it through. You have to admit that in the regard you have to trust Cruz.

“Once the suits are “in the system,” they can churn on for many years, regardless of changes in administration. “

No. A new president can order the DOJ to drop the lawsuits. There’s no such thing as a plenary DOJ. Moreover, the president can fire all DOJ employees. Lynch, like most communists, is insane.
