Simple. Because Trump is no conservative, but simply playing one on TV, to get what he wants. This is all part of being a “Deal Maker”, to seal his mega deals by adapting and shifting and playing everything with a Machiavellian twist—ends justifies the means. Sen Cruz is bedrock Conservative, with a voting record and a very conservative electoral body coalescing behind him.

Anti immigration angry conservatives are saying they don’t care about illegals, because they are that mad at Trump. They’d rather have rubio terrorists than have trump protect the nation .

Of course...for now. That will likely change when emotions die down.

I don’t know. And I’m not a “Cruz Person” per se. He’s just the prettiest pig we have. I’d rather he have Rubio’s voice and speech patterns, didn’t go down the road of TPP (initially), and I wish he had more executive experience. But he’s the best one we have right now.

Who would he endorse? I have no clue. Who do you think he’d back? My guess would be the person he thinks will win...that way he may get a VP or Supreme Court nomination.

Truly hate to say this, but my guess would be he'd endorse Rubio....And that would be a tough sell to his supporters, an Outsider endorsing an establishment backed candidate.

Interesting stats. Sixty-six percent of Republicans didn’t vote for Trump.
And about 80% didn't vote for Cruz...What was you point again?

I know, but who else could he endorse? Most likely the nominee will be Rubio now. So the question will be will Trump really support the final nominee?

he won five cases in front of the supreme court

They didn't have to spend thirty years and/or the last years of their careers with his annoying self.

LOL!

There’s where we disagree. I don’t see Trump losing, based upon history and illegal immigration. I think that’s still the biggest issue, followed by the economy (which actually tie together).

Cruz is not a judge. He is totally unqualified to be on the Supreme Court. There are much better nominees. Besides, do you think Hillary will nominate him?

“No one predicted Rubio would be so strong.”

Rubio is getting a lot of help from the media and GOPe.

Right now the anti-establishment is mainly split between Trump and Cruz. The establishment is lining up behind Rubio.

Trump’s final opposition, probably Rubio, will come in with about 65% against Trump’s 35%. I can’t wait for a mano y mano showdown between Trump and either Cruz or Rubio. And God forbid if Megyn Kelly asks any questions. Trump will slink into a corner, assume a fetal position and suck his thumb under that ridiculous cotton candy rug stapled to his cranium. Sorry, I couldn’t resist taking a stab at all of you sycophantic Trump lickspittles.

I wish Jim would ban Trumpbots like he did other people last election. Although we lost a lot of members during that culling.

I wish he would ban ALL the immature people who get caught up in elementary school behavior calling one another Cruzbots, Trumpbots, Rubots, etc. No wonder the nation is going to hell. People act like children, calling one another schoolyard insults instead of debating like adults.

I couldn't agree more. The issue is the country, nothing less.
