Cruz would be my first choice for SCOTUS, or AG.

And, no apparent eligibility problems.

Question for you as you are a Cruz person....Who, if anyone, would Cruz endorse if he left the race?

Don’t think they are the same on the most important issues. PC and immigration (the make up of the country). I also think foreign policy would differ drastically

I would possibly vote for Rubio, but not Trump. And I was just the opposite 3 months ago!

Same here. I liked his UN-PC language because I'm not a democrat. I could care less about offending a left wing voting block.
But then he kept talking......it was over for me. Trump is saying what people want to hear, but he doesn't mean one word of it. I'm from NY, and the guys face and words were everywhere for decades. I'm familiar with the real Trump, and it'll all come out in the end.
The liberal media has so much dirt on this guy, his supporters will be committing suicide when they roll it all out for everyone to see if he's the one running against their gal Hillary.

They are going to FREAK when they see what the left has sitting on the shelf just waiting for a Trump victory. It must be killing them to hang on to it for so long.

If you get rid of Cruz now, Rubio will get the nomination.

if you get rid of Cruz supporters in the general, Hillary will win the general.

I think you need to appreciate the role of evangelicals, and social conservatives in this election if you want to slow down the rapid slide to socialism.

Results among SC voters identifying as “very conservative”: [38%]

Cruz 37%
Trump 27%
Rubio 19%

When the closed primaries come, this will help Cruz.

Cruz did worst among “moderates”

Trump was quite popular with “moderates”

I’m pulling for Kasich to beat Bush. They’re only a few hundred votes apart right now.

Cruz would make an excellent Supreme Court Justice.

He hasn't the temperament for it.

Base your decision on the facts....not the flame war posts that are now populating FR over the past several weeks....

Trump or Cruz are both acceptable.... Trump is brash, bold and totally not politically correct but has very detailed plans on his site.... He is definitely a scaring the crap out of the GOPe, the Chamber of Commerce, and general lobbyists... Cruz is a solid conservative, stood by his principles, has detailed plans and scares the crap out of the same group that Trump does....

Rubio, Yeb and Kasich are tools of the GOPe...If you want more of the same, vote for them...

Carson, IMHO, nice guy, smart, articulate but not CEO material...

You're right - Reagan wasn't an ideological purist and he was hardly infallible. He did sign the 1986 Immigration Reform Bill, which was basically an amnesty bill prohibiting the deportation of illegal immigrants in the US.

Even the best candidates will be a mixed bag, the question is what mix you're willing to accept. Everyone has his own litmus test, so that a "RINO" is often defined as the candidate who deviates on that litmus test issue issue but not necessarily others. For those who have social issues as a litmus test, Trump is a "RINO," for those (like myself) for whom immigration is a litmus test issue, the rest of the pack, except possibly Cruz, are "RINOs."

Trump is winning conservatives, moderates, military and the evangelicals. He’s winning in every area of the state.

In a state made for cruz, 70 % evangelical, Cruz is showing how weak he is.

“Trump winning evangelicals!”

Evangelical vote is split between Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and Carson.

The plan is to suppress Evangelicals by splitting their votes until the northern, more liberal, less Evangelical states are in play.

Trump won on the populist and the open primary Dem vote.

But he did it at over 30% which is a base hit. Not a grand slam, but he is maintaining his momentum. The race is still his to lose.
