On the first floor of NRA headquarters, a large glass and steel building that looms over I-66 in the ambivalent suburbs of Fairfax, Virginia, exists the National Firearms Museum. It is free and open to the public. After a brief visit, I highly recommend that instead of ever going to the museum, you do what roughly 19,000 responsible gun owners do each year and shoot yourself. Itâd be far less painful.
The museum was initially built in 1935 and moved to Fairfax in 1998. Allegedly, it "details and examines the nearly 700-year history of firearms with a special emphasis on firearms, freedom, and the American experience." Really, it's a monument to rash, unreflective violence and willful stupidity.

For those interested in ‘crappy propaganda’ museums, the National Firearms Museum has an excellent Youtube page, with lots of interesting firearms featured.

I thought “Unintended Consequences” sounded familiar. I checked and I have the pdf file on my computer. Can’t remember where I got it. I checked and found a hardback edition on Amazon for about $44.
However, here’s a free download source for it in multiple formats - https://archive.org/details/JohnRossUnintendedConsequences
Enjoy!

Yeah, I kinda thought the same thing. I guess it’s kinda like animating firearms as if they have a life of their own. Then consider the source of the article.

If you dont like guns or the NRA then dont go to their museum just to write a snarky POS hit piece. That’s just a D**k move but not unexpected for a leftist.

My visit to the NRA museum a few years ago was great. The museum really delivers all that you would expect and more.
Interesting collections of men like Tom Selleck, etc. are cool. I found a pre Civil War, Ethan Allen “Pepperbox” six shot pistol exactly like one my Dad handed down to me. It has been in our family's possession since 1845.
I plan to go the next time I'm in the area. Morning at the Udvar-Hazy Museum in Chantilly and Afternoon at the NRA museum in Fairfax...doesn't get better than a day like that.

Joe Veix is violent. He shouldn’t be allowed near a gun.
