Draft-dodger Donald Trump once said that the danger he faced from getting sexually transmitted diseases was his own âpersonal Vietnam.â In a 1997 interview with shock jock Howard Stern, Trump talked about how he had been âluckyâ not to have contracted diseases when he was sleeping around. âIâve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. Itâs scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era,â Trump said in a video that resurfaced Tuesday on Buzzfeed, âIt is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.â
Ted, Marco, and I are of a similar age.
I am a qualified member of the American Legion and VFW.
... just some food for thought.
I actually don’t know him. I never thought he was really in it, frankly. Too much hoopla over the harridan and the socialist I guess. Regardless, thanks.
>>To me, Trump has the fire to light up the system.
I thought so too back in June. But then I started listening to him - and looking into his history of behavior to discern and vet his character.
The problem is Trump’s “fire” unfortunately seems to be rooted in what CS Lewis identified as “The Poison of Subjectivism”.

When Trump’s historical behavior is examined - there’s unfortunately no discernible moral framework that can be seen.
And the fact that so many “conservatives” have been brainwashed/desensitized into believing ( or at least behaving as if they believe) an amoral POTUS is not a problem just serves to illustrate how far towards DEMORALIZATION American culture has been successfully, strategically, subverted.
The Trump fanboys start foaming at the mouth about Megyin Kelly’s interview with Stern but dring up Trumps? No big deal. Total allegiance to their One.
>> Character matters <<
Character matters to the Trumpsters?
Well, yeah, I guess it matters to the extent that they support a character.
Why can no one beat Trump?
>>But what does that have to do about public repentance?
Trump’s amoral history speaks for itself.
Where has he repented of that behavior and sought public forgiveness?
I have a very good friend who’s father was a chemical engineer working for a company involved in many very secret war effort projects.
He was chomping at the bit to go to war. By 1943, they finally let him go and he was inducted as a Naval Lt. He had barely made it into his first assignment when he got orders to return home.
The company had enough authority to tap miltary personnel for their secret projects. He was placed in a position at Oak Ridge working on the uranium separation work there
The liberal rag Daily Beast? Lord.
Now quick. Tell me how many of the original 18 candidates had any military experience? Let me tell you. All of two, and both of them got ran of the race. Rick Perry, who was Air Force tanker pilot, and Jim Gilmore who was in Army intelligence. The rest, including Trump, if they were of age for Vietnam, were draft dodgers. The ones that were not of age never thought serving in the military amounted to much so they never enlisted. Now all will tell you how much they respect the military and 99.9% of them are nothing but warmongers, wanting to send your sons and daughters to die in far away lands, when they themselves didn’t have the common decency and or backbone to serve their country in the US military.

Welcome Friend.
Onward and Upward!
I remember the first time I saw this video back in June. It was then that I made the decision to support Trump. I thought to myself, that’s what we need in these perilous times— a brawler. Go Trump!
>> And so what if he was a cad? His pal Clinton was one <<
Of course. And in the “logic” of your typical Trumpster, it seems that two wrongs always make a right.
VERY presidential. ............................... If that’s what it takes to get congress to do their job, I’m for it!
Can you find the same for Rafael Cruz Senior?
Also, for both of them we need the draft numbers for each year and the highest number the draft actually selected.
Does Canada have a selective service?
They can if you vote for them!

Post of the Month!
Luke 17:1-4
17 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."
