That’s a great reason to vote...looking at the polls...if you insist on looking at polls, why not compare Trump & Cruz vs. Clinton...

Yes, he is a conservative intellect, but he doesn’t need to understand who’s ahead, he’s making his selection intellectually...

Moronic political tactics to scream abuse at people and expect them to vote for your candidate.

Find it interesting that Team Cruz is so intellectually bankrupt that their sole contribution to this, and any other thread, is to scream bile laced tirades at anyone who does not worship their god St Ted.

I like Sowell, but you don't need a Harvard Law degree to understand the importance of a Supreme Court pick under these circumstances.

True, just consistent, lifetime, solid conservative principles...

Everyone in politics is “sleazy”. That is the nature of politics: some are more “sleazy” than others. Hopefully, humility will hit Cruz—that is the necessary “virtue” which really saves people. Pride is a killer and most people his age still have way too much Pride. Pride is satan’s tool.

Personally, I think that Cruz should be put on the Supreme Court. He is capable of “thinking” like a Scalia, although Scalia had a very, very Catholic soul (pre-VII one), where Thomistic Theology ruled. It is extremely hard to be a charismatic personality when so strongly opinionated and knowledgeable and bathed in the truth (Christian). As Jesus stated, people who follow him will be hated, for they reject much of this world, and most people tend to worship satan in many ways on earth even if they don’t “know” it. People naturally hate to be around the truly “good”—it makes them feel “dirty” and inferior, unless they are true Christians. Giving up their idols/vices makes them way too uncomfortable.

I don’t think Cruz is capable of being a psychopath and killer like the Clintons and Bushes and Sanders. Those people are satanists and psychopaths and truly vile human beings, like Kissinger and Soros. Not saying that Cruz is s “true” Christian, but he does understand the theology and philosophy of our Founding Fathers, and seems to believe in it, and incapable of becoming as diabolical as most of the “leaders” we have today.

Cruz has some “moral code” and anyone who promotes sodomy and baby-killing has NO moral code, whatsoever, or an islamic pederastic “moral” code of nihilism (Culture of Death/moral relativism). To them, doing evil, inhumane things to others, is “good”. They become diabolical (satanists) just because of the irrational mind (beliefs) they have. Cruz isn’t irrational. No people are without sin and flaws, including Cruz. He would be the first to admit that, but the nature of politics doesn’t allow for “Truth”-—does it? Truth is banned from the public square.

Post Scalia, Cruz being ruled ineligible for the presidency is a done deal.

So that's Levin, Limbaugh, Sowell, Vigurie, Bozell, Perkins etc. The greatest conservative minds of out time all for Cruz, go figure.

Oh, but that's the "old" conservative, the new "conservatives" are the strumpets here at FR...

I can’t know if he is sleazy, but his oratory skills are not good. Just like Hillary! he screams too much. While he believes it adds emphasis and passion, it only sounds angry. It’s sad to say that the most impassioned and polished orator is Rubio. I think that is what keeps Marco hanging in the hunt.

At some point, no matter who wins the nomination, that candidate and his supporters are going to want the votes of those who supported other candidates. The incredible rudeness and juvenile insults that have become commonplace here make that much less likely.

For example, saying that all supporters of another candidate are "intellectually bankrupt" probably isn't the wisest strategy.

Cruz said he’d have selected Mike Luttig who had much more of a paper trail. Cruz wrote the pro-Roberts article after Pres. Bush had nominated him (which is how you support your president)...which was 7 years before Cruz became a senator.

I’m a Trump supporter. But I think both of Cruz’s parents were American citizens.

Yes, Marco has a well-modulated voice, unlike Cruz who has a whine that is like a buzz saw at full blast in my ear. Turns me off. It’s “little” things like this that make a difference, I suppose, in who people vote for. I couldn’t vote for Hillary - alone because her voice is so awful.

You were admonished for using the word strumpet. I see you’re back at it.

Cruz will be alive in 2024 and has done well for a first time run.

only thing is he wont be trumps VP and trump would back his vp.

let’s worry about now for now!!

Cruz will have to run in 2024 against another Trump, Ivanka Trump. She will be 42 the first woman who has a real story of being a businesswoman , a Mother, and part of a connected family.

And Ivanka will be pointing out how big a liar Rafael is.

Rubio is a puppet—robot, quite puerile, in fact. Intellectually a light weight. He just repeats memorized “speaking points” that one of his handlers made him memorize. He doesn’t have the ability to “think” on his feet like a Cruz. Have you EVER listened to Cruz explaining “ethanol” subsidies to an angry farmer, one on one? He is brilliant. Cruz’s professors, like Dershowitz, admitted that their most brilliant student and debater at Harvard in their lifetime, was Cruz.

Rubio could not even pronounce the words on one page of John Locke’s Treatises, much less understand the philosophy behind it. He is a complete fraud—a Ken doll, like obama, who hangs out in bathrooms at public parks.
