HOUSTON â Even after Justice Antonin Scalia did not respond to a knock at the door of his suite at the Cibolo Creek Ranch at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, John B. Poindexter, the propertyâs owner, thought little of it.

God rest his soul.
Ranch owner is lucky.. A few more minutes earlier and there would have been two heart attacks. Of the scenario would have been murder-suicide.
People die in their sleep all the time. Ay 79, death cannot be a total shock.
That being said, if the Republicans knew that Obama had Scalia killed at this time so that a recess appointment might become possible — would the Republicans say anything?
Jeb wouldn’t. I’m quite sure of that.
Trump would.
That’s why the political establishment hates Trump.

Explain, please.
WTF??? Why was Poindexter shaking Obama’s hand? This is not John Poindexter of Iran-Contra, who has no hair.
what a great way to go , really.... we should all be so lucky
Isn’t it interesting how the insanest posts so often feature so many grammatical errors and typos that you can’t quite tell where the incoherency ends and the insanity begins?
“Around midnight Sunday, a hearse carrying Justice Scaliaâs body left the ranch property, bound for Sunset Funeral Homes in El Paso, the West Texas city more than 200 miles away.”
Wait. No autopsy? What the hell?
With Scalia gone, what would have been 5-4 decisions will be 4-4 and the lower court rulings will stand. Just getting rid of him will work out to be just about as good as replacing him with a leftist.
How convenient for Obama's execrable legacy the untimely death of a rock-solid constitutionalist.
From the article:
âHis hands were sort of almost folded on top of the sheets,â said Mr. Poindexter, a manufacturing executive from Houston. âThe sheets werenât rumpled up at all.â
Incredible to read no autopsy. being performed. . .and that it took close to 12 hours to remove body. (What, no helicopters available ? And no Coroner to make death MO?). Is it Texas Law, that an absent Justice of the Peace can make this call?
No tin foil, but this does beg a few questions...or should.
Hasn’t he been embalmed already ?
Sorry:
“His hands were sort of almost folded on top of the sheets,” said Mr. Poindexter, a manufacturing executive from Houston. “The sheets weren’t rumpled up at all.”
Dontcha know. :-)

From a local El Paso TV station...
EL PASO â An El Paso source close to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia tells ABC-7 that the 79-year-old died in his sleep last night after a day of quail hunting at Cibolo Creek Ranch outside of Marfa, Texas.
The Justice did not report feeling ill and retired to his room after dinner. The source, who was traveling with Scalia, told ABC-7 a priest was summoned to administer last rites.
El Paso Catholic Diocese Spokeswoman Elizabeth OâHara tells ABC-7 Catholic Priest Mike Alcuino, in Presidio, was called to the ranch, where he administered Justice Scaliaâs last rites Saturday afternoon...
EL PASO -
UPDATE: U.S. Marshals, along with DPS officials are escorting the body of late Justice Antonin Scalia to Sunset Funeral Home. The funeral home was selected by his family, according to the funeral director there. He tells us Scalia will be there until tomorrow while they prepare and embalm the body.
ABC-7 has confirmed the body of the late Justice Antonin Scalia will be delivered to Sunset Funeral Home in northeast El Paso sometime early Sunday morning. It will then be prepared for the trip back to Washington. The body will be driven, not flown, from Marfa, Texas.
“what a great way to go , really.... we should all be so lucky”
The country in those parts I find quite interesting and certainly IMHO a better place to die than Washington DC. I have been to Presidio, Marfa, Alpine, Big Bend NP and Fort Davis. I don’t think I was ever on the road that goes by that ranch though. Again IMHO not at all a bad place to die.
