GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINAâ Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), following the tragic death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, pledged to honor his name by asking his followers to help prevent Barack Obama from nominating his replacement to the nationâs highest court.

Please be aware....we have to keep the Senate.
This it will be very important to vote in a GOP person come this November. There are at least 3 more “aging” USSC justices.
McConnel, shockingly, just issued statement saying new justice should be appointed by NEXT president.
Really????? Great news.
It’s nice to see the GOP have some stones sometimes.
Not THAT’S Republican leadership!
Well, here’s Ted’s opportunity to lead and get something accomplished. As with most of Ted’s actions, he’s all talk. The natural question anyone should ask when Ted states that something should be done or he led the fight is “Did you win” or “What did you accomplish”. The answer is usually nothing.
Mitch needs to constantly be reinvigorated while the MSM (democrat party in disguise) WAILS upon him for the next 9 months. Anybody thinks he holds strong that long ???
The republican party will take a press beating on this.
You’re being ridiculous...
By asking “his followers”???
That, right there, sums up the Cruz campaign quite succinctly.
Rather than saying he hopes AMERICANS, he says “his followers”.
Theocracy 101.
Which means that #1, the Senate will not consider any Supreme Court nominations for the rest of Obama’s term.
#2. The Senate cannot recess. They must stay in session for the rest of Obama’s term to prevent Obama from making a recess appointment to the court.
This was a GREAT MAN!
if he is replaced by garbage then revolution is needed!!
One of Italy’s best gifts to us. :(
duh
Thank God that EPA ruling came down when it did, before Scalia died.
Senate Republicans should send Obama a short list of conservative judges from which to choose from and let him know that those are the only ones who will receive confirmation hearings.
That’ll do in lieu of the tinfoil hat comment.
“The republican party will take a press beating on this. “

Yeah,right-——unlike the wonderful way we’re usually treated by them./s
.
With McConnell, I’ll believe it when I see it.
I would not be surprised if McConnell suddenly “sees the light” after meeting with Comrade Obamatollah.
So who cares about Rush? I’m talking about Cruz and I remember exactly what happened and why he did it. And it exposed all the liars in congress and killed the bill.
What was Trump doing at that time? How much money did he give to Hillary that year?
Isn’t the court stacked 5-3 against us now, essentially?
The liberals and the media will say it’s not right to not fill the court vacancy. I can already hear the MSNBC crowd and the CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN talking heads saying so.
