I know ... you don't "run" for the SC, but a public stunt like that would not go unnoticed, nor unappreciated by President Trump.
They’re going to say Obama has the right to appoint anyone he wants and rubber-stamp them onto the court with stunning swiftness.
Mitch McConnell needs to be removed from his perch asap.
It passed the senate. Originally Cruz even said that the "poison pill" was, itself, the citizenship granting that the bill did. He hoped to remove that so that the bill could pass the House.
Senator Cruz and Senator Mike Lee are on the Judiciary Committee. They will need our support to STOP any Obama appointment from coming to the Senate floor. Our children’s futures depend on their success. WE MUST DO THIS!!!
All of these senators running need to get back to DC and get on this. Stop it before it starts!

McConnel, shockingly, just issued statement saying new justice should be appointed by NEXT president.
That would be Senators Cruz and Rubio.
What really happened was even Rush Limbaugh at the time was advocating legalization of illegals, provided border security came first and they were barred from voting. He claimed deportation was "unrealistic." There was no one singing an anti-legalization tune at that time, contrary to the revisionist history of Cruz and his followers.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell said he won’t put through a Supreme Court nomination to replace Scalia until next year.
If possible, this would be worth filibustering until you drop dead on the Senate floor.
Well I guess Paul is already back there.
This is going to require a real filibuster if it comes down to it.

I can picture Jeb being the outlier.
And tell me my tinfoil hat is on too tight but after the SCOTUS order re: the EPA last week I hope the Scalia family will be hiring an independent professional to perform the autopsy.
Because I believe the current gang in DC is THIS close to removing obstacles in their path with such less conventional & legal means.
