Donald Trump is crushing the Republican field in South Carolina, more than doubling his closest competitor ahead of the primary on Feb. 20, according to a new poll.

Trump laps the field with 34.5 percent support in the South Carolina House Republican Caucus poll, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 15.5 percent support, former Florida governor Jeb Bush with 13 percent support, and Sen. Marco Rubio with 12.5 percent support.

Trump leads among Republicans of all ideological stripes, winning pluralities of self-identified conservatives, moderates, independents and libertarians.

Excellent analysis.
Factor in the demonstrated turnout, like Reagan, and the crossover Democrats, like Reagan , the Independents, and Trumps appeal to the Blacks, Trump could sweep the table.
Cruz has 0% support from the Senate.
And the GOPe could see Cruz nominated and then drop him like a hot potato.

I can tolerate a VAT tax if income tax is reduced in conjunction.

My bigger problem is Cruz flip flops on immigration. And he is STILL pushing cheap labor express as ordered by Goldman Sachs.

Path to Legal Status for Illegals

Cheap Foreign Workers on H1-B visa

Pushing TPP

Pushing import of Syrian Refugees:

Despite Cruz attacks on his partys donor class and establishment, Ted Cruz campaign has received $37 million from just four donors.

The Wilks family of Cisco, Texas, New York hedge fund tycoon Bob Mercer, Texas energy investor Toby Neugebauer and Illinois manufacturing moguls Dick and Liz Uihlein.

I agree, flipping any of the northeast, except maybe PA is unrealistic.

Trump can win NH. The wild card in NY state is he's a genuine native son and a real New Yorker in character. His defense of his beloved home state - and he really loves New York - during the debate was heartfelt and moving. If any Republican can win New York Trump can.

But I grant the possibility that no Republican can win there.

I believe Cruz will beat the polls in SC because of his ground game.

This isn't a normal primary season. Trump had almost no ground game in NH and he crushed Kasich who spent a year there. Not to mention Jeb's massive astroturf ground game.

in NYC the RINOS have the lead in the primaries. hope it doesn’t stay that way but i shouldn’t be shocked,

i gott get out of here like i said.

it was great even into the 30s, but now i want open space and conservative people

though this island is conservative, but is surrounded by liberals

The bible says it’s worse to believe and then turn from it, than not to have believed.

What in the world is the “sour spot spiritually” ???

***

Too ‘religious’ for non people of faith, but people of faith think that it’s faked.

Illinois is "red", except for that collection of cancer cells up top! The dark dark blue is of course Chicago and without it the state would be purple to "red".

Not unlike Virginia, just mirrored horizontally a bit.

It is cities versus suburbs nowadays.

“If you can organize a small group of evangelicals it’s enough to win.”

Especially if you tell them that the other Christian candidate, Dr. Carson, is dropping out and they should switch their votes over to you.

I know it’s irrelevant now, but I still say Trump won Iowa.

It doesn’t work that way. These doings are about delegates only. None are truly committed.

Thanks for your explanation. Guess it is in the eye of the beholder. I am a Christian and see nothing fake about Cruz.
