Donald Trump Criticizes Pope Francis as ‘Very Political’ for Mexico Trip
NY Times ^ | Feb 11 2016 | Alan Rappeport

Donald J. Trump has a message for Pope Francis ahead of the pope’s trip to pray with migrants along the Mexican border: You don’t get it.

The pope is planning to go to the Rio Grande next week while on a visit to Mexico. He plans to offer prayer and show solidarity with suffering refugees.

Mr. Trump does not approve. In an interview with the Fox Business Network on Thursday, the Republican presidential candidate, who has proposed building a wall along the United States’s southern border, suggested that Francis was serving as a pawn of the Mexican government.

“I think that the pope is a very political person,” Mr. Trump said.

there is a big beautiful wall dividing the Vatican from the rest of Rome to protect it from invaders.. if you haven’t been there in person take a tour on Google Earth street level...

Thanks, I saw it earlier.... Makes me think of the walls of Jericho and the sound of trumpets.

They have none with me because they are not what they profess to be

Furthermore, it is most definitely NOT Catholic to discriminate against people of other faiths. You might Google the catechism

You know that Christian saying about turning the other cheek? Well, I finally got whiplash. They are programmed, and I figure when God decides to get their attention He will do just that.

I have a 'catechism', but, I am more comfortable (horror) with the King James Bible... I use the Strong's to learn that the word used does not necessarily fit the instruction.

I don't usually buy into trashing the leader of a large denomination,...

If Pope Francis is functioning as such, I wouldn't buy into bashing him, either. Pope Francis is being bashed for the things he does that are in the realm of being the secular head of a small nation that is butting into foreign policy. Bash away.

Besides that, one would think he'd be more concerned about Europe being over run by maniacs. Seems he's okay with that.

Mexicans in the U.S. send back $25-billion dollars a year to Mexico, draining it from recirculating in the U.S. I’m sure the Catholic Church in Mexico ends up with at least 10% of that. The Pope is checking on his investment.

Mr Trump, Build Up That Wall!

Trump is correct. This so called Pope is politicizing the Church. He is out of line and not in line with Scripture and historical teachings of the Body of Christ. This. pope is not our Pope, as we still have the forcefully deposed Pope Benedict...not emeritus...he is the Pope. Francis is an imposter, a fake ...and from the crazy comments he makes...looks like he actually knows it.

I have real difficulty in the way that word ‘judge’ and its various forms gets tossed around. I used the phrase tongue in cheek, because of who made the proclamation.

Say like I can say ‘go to .ell’, but I have no power over sending anyone to .ell... But to say ‘you are going to .ell’ is me making a judgment, that speaks to the instruction .... Judge not lest ye be judged... It is the ‘fruit’ of the doctrine or person that one tests.

Would you say the current pope is not Catholic?

Reciprocity then?

"The population of Vatican City is about 800 people, of whom over 450 have Vatican citizenship, while the rest have permission to reside there, either temporarily or permanently, without the benefit of citizenship.

About half of the Vaticans citizens do not live inside Vatican City. Because of their occupations (mostly as diplomatic personnel), they live in different countries around the world. The conferral or loss of citizenship, authorization to live inside Vatican City and formalities for entering the territory, are governed by special regulations issued according to the Lateran Treaty."( Why should this conferral power even be here, why doesn't Ropey Popey allow open borders to Vatican City like he wants the USA to have with Mexico?)

http://www.vaticanstate.va/content/vaticanstate/en/stato-e-governo/note-generali/popolazione.html

So lets go and hold hands at the entry to Vatican City and make sure that the millions spent there to accommodate 800 people are spread around the thousands of North African immigrants now washing up on the shores of Italy.

Whats wrong Popey? Got cold feet there? Whats good for the Mexican goose is good the Papal gander!

Opium is coming across the Southern border so fast into the USA from Mexico that 40% of the State of New Hampshire is jazzed up with those opiates. So get thee to a nunnery Popey baby!!

Show and tell at the border is about to get very hot, maybe one of the cartels will escort Popey to the border and back as plenipotentiaries of the Obama Liberal Fascist Government which betrays the USA and the Contstitution. A border war will soon erupt thanks to El Duce Vatican, a so called heavenly supporter, in reality a supporter of Liberal Fascism, just like Pope Pius XII who supported the fascist Nazis and the fascist Mussolini. The Lateran Treaty establishing Vatican City was actually negotiated with Mussolini and later with the German Nazis and Pope Pius XII:

"this collaboration with fascist leaders as starting in 1929 with the concordat with Mussolini known as the Lateran Treaty, and followed by the concordat with Hitler known as the Reichskonkordat." [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler%27s_Pope]

Apparently nothing has changed much since Pope Pius XII, the current pope is still siding with fascisti and getting in bed with those who wish to destroy a free nation and its people in the USA. The current pope joins the pantheon of liberal fascist leaders( Merkl among them) who constitute a curse on Modern America and Europe, as defined in the book on the subject written by Jonah Goldberg:" Liberal Fascism."

 photo liberal_fascism.jpg

Those who do not act to preserve the freedom of the USA and Israel will create a world full of horrid suffering and total warfare. And that thing in the White Hut has pretty much set it all in motion. Heroic patriots to a free world of nations peacefully engaged in enlightened civil society now have their work cut out and WILL PREVAIL. We now know which side the pope is on and its not on the side of the Divine.

Donald Trump has just decided that the much needed wall construction along our Southern Border will now speed up , thanks to the help of the Vatican.Perhaps soon The People of our homeland will be able to rest safe from the curse of Latino Drug Gangs, Illegal Alien murder and rape, and Opium Traffic destruction of US Society, especially in New Hampshire.

Go Donald GO!

He’s right that it’s political - and the Pope is nothing but a leftist sock-puppet - but I doubt that even the Mexican government likes it. A stunt like this makes them look foolish and makes Mexico look even worse than it is. The Pope is a patronizing self righteous typical Argentinian fool.

What’s the best deal in the world? To buy an Argentinian for what he’s worth and sell him for what he thinks he’s worth. (A Spanish joke.)

Leave it. If you can’t find anything but calumny, then just leave it.

The church has been for open borders for one simple reason only, the church is Catholic which simply means universal, hence, national boundaries mean nothing to her, she is beyond them, theologically speaking.

I don’t agree with this policy until after the second coming! There is still a need for countries and Francis is a know it all Jesuit who are all too smart for their own good. Also, growing up and carrying out his mission in Argentina, gives you a better understanding this Pope’s worldview. That is one messed up country.

I’m not a big fan, but, he is still Il Papa and I would appreciate laying off.

A practicing Catholic reads the newspaper and figures out who supports Catholic teaching and who is directly at odds with that teaching (Obama!). It doesn’t matter how many Msses they are attending, they are deluded.

And Protestants vote for these creeps in spades, too.

If the Church is for open borders it is deluded. I see nowhere in Catholic teaching that says countries do not exist. That Catholicism is an universal religion does not mean the Church does not obey the laws of countries. That would be chaos. And I seem to remember that this Pope just squeaked up about the invasion of Europe this week, if I remember correctly.

Render unto Caesar, someone said...
