"He said he's sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk," Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. "He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air."
"To be determined," Carson said when asked where they may meet. "Doesn't matter."
The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

To the occasional reader, it appears Cruz’s team publicized that which CNN said. Whoopsie. Politics ain’t beanbag, and I know of no indication that Cruz’s team made it up for the purposes of hurting Carson. They just doubled down on CNN’s missed point.
This is not new, but days old unless I have lost track of time.
Carson knows very well the dirty trick was about TRUMP.
Carson served as the mule to do it.
The request for a meeting has obviously been denied by Carson, or by now it would have happened.
Cruz can not legalese his way around this one, not with the devastating chronology of time stamped evidence pouring over his head, destroying his “version”.
Yes.
Or maybe Cruz is more concerned with the feelings of a fellow âChristianâ and wants to do the right thing!?
As has been said many times before, this wasnât a malicious act anyway according to actual events/facts.
Nailed it!
Nobody “stole” any votes — they persuaded people to vote for their candidate. That’s what caucuses do.
Ted has a problem dealing in full view. He always operates behind the scenes. Makes people mistrust him. Simple as that!
Big mistake on his part.
You say “persuaded”, others say “stole”. The perception’s not going away.
This is exactly what I think and I’ve seen it done before in other situations. I think certain people are creating their own false narratives because they feel so strongly about their own opinions.
So tell me what they “stole”.
Point out all of these examples of him operating behind the scenes, please.
Do you broadcast everything you do to the world?
” they persuaded people to vote for their candidate. Thatâs what caucuses do.”>>>

LOL!!
Fraud is the new persuasion!
That about takes the cake, and the plate holding it up.
LOL!
What fraud?
The average voter doesn’t care much about this. I might hurt slightly, but he’s tied or a couple points ahead of or behind Rubio in most polls, despite all the glowing treatment of Rubio and the trashing of Cruz by the media. I think he genuinely wants to fix this, as he’s gone out of his way to be positive about all the candidates and maintain a good relationship. The exception being the 2-way war between Trump and Cruz for about 3 weeks now. That started first with the broadsides of citizenship and being Nasty from the Trump campaign (both fair attacks, but aggressive attacks none the less).
Cruz likely would like Carson’s endorsement eventually (or may have previously had it coming down the road), and certainly wants to win Carson supporters at whatever point he gets out of the race. Carson’s departure is inevitable. He’s not polled in contention for months now and does not have any path to get there.
Cruz has class and just why did Carson publicize Cruz’ request for a meeting? I like Carson, but he his campaigned created his problem. Even Rubio’s people retweeted the CNN report, but why is there no mention of that fact?
Excellent point!!!!
Apologies are always appropriate when appropriate, even if useless.
Cruz must think the Carson âthingâ is hurting him and he is trying to make up. To late as the damage has been done. You cannot undo it.
OJ apologized to Nicole in her coffin too.
The fact that this is still being harped on is the most retarded thing I’ve seen in a while.
Believe me, I want him back in the Senate but any chance of becoming VP is probably gone.
It was Iowa, only one of 50 states, he actually won the caucus, and he totally blew the whole thing. His BEHAVIOR, the content of HIS CHARACTER, has shone through and removed the admiration a lot of us had for him. Not much of a chess player, is he? And maybe too much of a lawyer (who lies for a living).
