"He said he's sorry that this happened and he wants to sit down and talk," Carson said in an interview with The Washington Post. "He wants to discuss the whole thing and clear the air."
"To be determined," Carson said when asked where they may meet. "Doesn't matter."
The Carson campaign has been critical of Cruz after his campaign spread false rumors during the Iowa caucus, and sent voicemails to Iowa precinct captains suggestings that Carson was dropping out of the race.

Hey Ben, you wanna be my vp? wink wink
Absolutely, let the chips fall where they are.
Don’t forget mommy.
LOL, People have heard Cruz isn’t a citizen since back a few year ago when FOX news reported Ted wasn’t eligible.
He apologized publicly. I take it that means he’s not allowed to talk privately as well.
Please post the rule book on this for me, since clearly I’ve been doing it wrong for years.
Carson was so “damaged” he outperformed his polling in the caucus.
In late January, Carson aide Armstrong Williams hinted at Carson dropping out.
Carson has been short of funds.
Between then and the caucus, he lost several staffers (who defected to Cruz.)
Then it came out that instead of going directly to New Hampshire like the other candidates, he was going home. (They don’t have clothing stores and dry cleaners in New Hampshire?)
CNN’s report on it clearly implied that it looked like he was getting out. That report is what was passed along.
Now, he’s off the trail again, at least for a day.
What would you conclude?
Cruz said that he had no problem with his people passing on the initial TV bit that strongly implied Carson was dropping out, but that he regretted that his people didn’t follow up on it when Carson’s people protested and clarified that Carson was NOT dropping out.
Whether Cruz understood at the time that one was broadcast and the other tweeted I’m not sure. The fact that Carson’s own people, in their clarification, said it had been mis-reported that Carson had dropped out *before* knowing that Cruz’s people had done anything makes it pretty clear that Cruz’s people were not the only ones to see it that way.
Tell me all about Rafael’s great performance in about 24 hours.
Your guy is the one keeping it alive.
He’s not, Carson is the reason why this was made public.

Carson is becoming the Cam Newton of politics.
Passive aggressive Carson is angling for $$ and cabinet post from Trump.
It won’t work.
1. Trump won’t get the nomination.
2. Trump won’t pay out anything he doesn’t absolutely have to.
3. Trump uses people (e.g., Palin)
Exactly! Thank you!
Not that any of these high and mighty folks will actually listen.
Did the Doctor find his pants?
Negotiating the terms of surrender.
In SEPTEMBER, The Don said his lawyers had looked at it and there was NO problem with Ted’s eligibility. Then when Ted started to get some steam, suddenly he started raising questions about it, and telling people that Ted wasn’t “a citizen” as if it were FACT.
Uhhh....just about everyone in the real world. It was "do what it takes to win" politics, and it's still being played. Add to that, his team stole the votes of the vulnerable black candidate.
Cruzers want us to remember everything other candidates did decades, even years ago. But what they did LAST WEEK is old news?
Rubio’s people were spreading the same thing. Yet they get away with it.
