He sounds exhausted. He might be.
Red State right on the money, again.
I swear, if Carson had put half as much effort into defending himself against a real attack - Stubby Fingers’ bullying in November - he may have been the one in two place.
Temperature in Manchester, NH today: 52 and rain.
Temperature in Palm Beach, FL today: 83 and clear, or as the locals say “Nope, no need to wear socks today...”.
I’d go home for a “change of clothes”, too...
No hits from me for Leon Wolf, but it’s true that Carson’s campaign mis-managed the message.
At this point is the Carson campaign more or less just a fundraising entity and he’s trying to keep the gravy train flowing for as long as possible?
Yeah, maybe Carson should give Cruz his apology back.
Carson took off to do his book tour a while back. He likes the attention but isn’t I for the long haul.
But I like him. As surgeon general.
This is impossible because doughty one informs everyone Cruz lied.
What Cruz’s campaign said was not really about the trip back to Florida. It was about the fact that Carson was not going to campaign in NH and SC, which is what CNN’s report said. Here’s the transcript of the CNN clip:
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
Male: Ben Carson, what have we learned?
Female: Thatââ¬â¢s right, our - we should say, our Chris Moody is breaking this, this news, that Ben Carson is gonna go back to Florida to his home, regardless of how he does tonight here in Iowa. Heââ¬â¢s gonna go there for several days, and then afterwards heââ¬â¢s not gonna go to South Carolina, heââ¬â¢s not gonna go to New Hampshire. Heââ¬â¢s gonna come to Washington, DC, and heââ¬â¢s gonna do that because the National Prayer Breakfast is on Thursday. And people who have been following Ben Carsonâs career know that thatââ¬â¢s really where he got himself on the political map, attending that prayer breakfast and really giving it to B, President Barack Obama at the time. And he became kind of a hero among uh, conservatives as well as evangelicals especially. But
M: And itââ¬â¢s very unusual
F: VERY unusual
M: to be announcing that youââ¬â¢re going home to rest for a few days, not going on to the next site. Plus, heââ¬â¢s already announced that heââ¬â¢s gonna be coming out and speaking at 9:15 local
F: Mm-hm
M: 10:15 Eastern, no matter whether or not uh, we know the results, uh, because he wants to get home and get ahead of the storm.
F: Look. If you want to be President of the United States, you donââ¬â¢t go to Florida. I mean, thatââ¬â¢s just bottom line. Thatââ¬â¢s the end of the story. If you want to signal to your supporters that you want it, that youââ¬â¢re hungry for it, that you want them to get out and campaign, you gotta be out there doing it too, and heââ¬â¢s not doing it. Itââ¬â¢s very unusual.
M: Very unusual news, that CNN has just learned, CNNââ¬â¢s Chris Moody breaking the story. Wolf, back to you in Washington.
Wolf Blitzer: VERY significant news indeed, guys. Thanks very much.
END OF RECORDING
So now little Leon is going all in for CDS.
This is what happens when you talk about your opponents rather than the issues.
Poor Carson has been sucked into a world - politics/media - he doesn’t understand.
A more clever, safer reply to this pathetic misunderstanding is, “the rumors of my campaign’s demise are greatly exaggerated”. End of story.
Good grief. Ben is a gifted surgeon, but he’s got no business running a primary campaign. Its time to do himself and the Republican party a favor and go for that Florida vacation.
Stop making sense.
