Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz said he will not discipline staffers who spread a rumor that Ben Carson was going to drop out of the race in an attempt to get Carson supporters to caucus for Cruz in Iowa. Cruz appeared on the Mike Gallager Show on Wednesday and talked about staffers who pushed a report that Carson wasn't going on to campaign in New Hampshire or South Carolina.

I’ll say one thing Trump needs to forget Cruz and start hitting Rubio hard. The GOPe, the talking heads and Fox are all coalescing around Marco Rubio. FR and other major sites will maintain that Cruz and Cruz alone bears the brunt of misunderstanding that going home to florida to get fresh clothes is misunderstood as possibly dropping out.

I hope conservatives figure out that all this hate directed at Cruz is because he is actually the one over the target— not Donald and certainly not rubio.

Yes. There was no reason to say that Carson was dropping out unless Carson released a statement that he was dropping out.
