Rep. Steve King Says He 'Knows Things' About Trump Endorsements
The Daily Caller ^ | January 31, 2016 | Kerry Picket

Posted on 02/01/2016 12:52:20 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

AMES, Iowa - Rep. Steve King , an Iowa Republican and Ted Cruz supporter, says Donald Trump bought his endorsements. Trump recently received high profile endorsements from Maricopa County Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and Liberty University president Jerry Falwell, Jr.

King reiterated his statement about the endorsements to the Daily Caller on Saturday during a Cruz rally at the Gateway Hotel and stressed that he "knows things."

"He has, from a regular person's perspective, unlimited resources and he's willing to use whatever access he has in order to get the endorsements that he wants," King explained.

"Among those are the assets that we would naturally think of, including the attraction that might be for, oh who knows, a reality TV show, a job in the Trump machine," he said.

King added: "There's fame and fortune, and there's also the fear factor of retribution, which Donald Trump has not been shy about delivering against people. So all of that affects a person's judgment under those circumstances."

The conservative Iowa congressman would not get specific, but would only say, "I know things, but I'm saying what is appropriate, so that people will know enough, and I'm wanting to keep this on as high a plane as I can, but I don't think my conscience can allow me from not saying anything."

Neither Jesus or God, would ever troll. But I suspect Jezebel’s priests considered Elijah a troll, especially when Elijah asked them if they needed a potty break.

Yup!! At least there is some humor in this race, either to the top or to the bottom.

Lies?
•Cruz did tweet a lie about Trump using eminent domain to bulldoze a widows house. The house was not bulldozed or taken from the widow. And Trump had offered more money before the government tried eminent domain, than the widow was able to sell for years later.
•Cruz does owe banks a lot of money, relative to his net worth.
•Cruz’s voter intimidation campaign with the shaming letters telling people they have a “violation” for not voting enough does indicate Cruz is a nasty guy.
•And Cruz does meet the definition of an anchor baby in Canada. He was born in Canada of parents neither of which was a Canadian citizen.

Yes...each of those are lies. Trump did try to use government to bulldoze a woman’s home who refused to sell. He lost in court. He has built his business through taxpayer subsidized projects utilizing payoffs to elected officials and stated it’s “how business is done”. No, Donald, its not. It is how unethical business is done.

Trump also owes large sums to Goldman/Sachs

http://www.redstate.com/leon_h_wolf/2016/01/21/know-else-received-loans-citibank-goldman-sachs-donald-trump/

Mailers is a non-issue to distract from Trump’s LIEberalism:

http://postabit.com/2016/01/30/cruz-mailer-inspired-by-political-scientists-is-condemned-by-iowa-secretary-of-state/

“...neither of which was a Canadian citizen.”
The only correct statement you made. His mother was of legal age to pass her US Citizenship to her baby.

Since Trump cannot allow scrutiny of his lifelong support of LIEberal candidates and causes, he goes for the ‘duck and distract’ tactic.

Amen, Why would anyone believe anything Trump says? Carnival Barker has been on every side of issues that matter.
Gun Control
Immigration
Abortion

Was he lying then or is he lying now?

Here’s what I know Steve: Cruz is a lair who says one thing to pro amnesty Club for Growth and another to Wallbuilders anti amnesty. He is a lair who thinks I accept his “Ooops I didn’t know about the sweet deal bank loans my wife gave me” Cruz NEVER repudiated the support of anti- Catholic Pastor Swanson who wants Christians to execute gays because their existence offends him. I also know Cruz voted to help his buddy Corker make sure the Iran Nuke sell-out deal went through.

And I know Cruz was a Canadian longer than he has been a Republican. That’s what I know Steve.

As a Cruz supporter, if there is a “there” there, I wish Steve King could be more specific.
If he cannot, will we just get a big “I tried to warn y’all”
later?
We are getting to zero hour now.

"There’s something wrong with the system when a billionaire gets to stick it to his creditors."

They are not creditors they are investors as is Trump. If an business goes belly up the investors sell wht they can to recoup loses. Since Trump was an investor, Trump also lost part of his investment. Nobody screwed anyone over, not all businesses succeed. Trump suscess to failure rate is probably one of the best ever. Hundreds of successes verses four failures. Very impressive. Turning a 1 million dollar loan into 10 billion is quite a feat.

I listened to him talking to a gathering of his on One America News. He looked just like the narcissistic, histrionic, BS artist he is. If you can get of your PC or phone long enough to watch the news you might just see the very comments/actions you blindly comment on and criticize others for.

"I never went bankrupt, many people went bankrupt in the early 90s, I never did." For the record Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy in 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009 (you can quibble and deny it, saying they were business bankruptcies not a personal ones but this will shed some light on that dodge).

I have two businesses. A business bankruptcy and a personal bankruptcy are NOT the same thing. Most people who read this completely understand what Trump is saying. One would be STUPID NOT to bankrupt their business if it's failing.

King’s endorsement of CRuz was paid for by amnesty supporting PAC $$.

Someone who “knows things” said so.

See how that works? Just sayin’.

And, I used to have a lot of respect for King. He’s reminding me a lot of that other Rep King. Hmmmm.

Funny to see the CRuz campaign and operatives lefty tactics being used and levels they are sinking to.

“The campaign owes $12.6 million to Trump himself.”

He told us he was self-financing.

I’m sorry but when your every posts is an infantile screed at people instead of a rational reasoned argument for your candidate, it is impossible to take your posting seriously

"The fact remains Trump praised the Kelo decision and eminent domain."

The fact remains that Cruz lied when he said Trump used eminent domain to get rich. That is a documented lie. There are many more documented lies told by Ted Cruz.

Trump is IMHO wrong on eminent domain but at least he doesn't lie about it. He plainly says what he thinks and takes the hits.

Trump bought off Sheriff Joe.. Yeah. OK. It’s not that they were perfectly aligned on immigration or anything....

I really wish this Trump/Cruz bickering on this site would stop. Either of the two candidates is vastly superior to any GOP-e candidate and any Democrat.

So Trump owes Trump. Got it.
**********************************
From what I read... Trump is leasing his aircraft and renting hotels, etc., from his own corporations. So, he’s basically taking money from one pocket and putting it in another pocket. ...He is a smart business man.

What you've describe lines up more with how Trump conducts himself and runs his campaign.

Trump graduated from the New York Military Academy. He attended the New York Military Academy from the 8th grade to graduation.

I do not care what the business law is

Translation: You don't care about the truth. You just want to lie about one candidate in a misguided attempt to get FReepers to vote for another candidate.
