In an interview published Monday morning, President Barack Obama said he hopes that the Republican Party nominates someone more moderate than the party's current presidential front-runners.
Obama, speaking with Politico correspondent Glenn Thrush, implicitly compared the 2016 race to his own opponent in 2008: Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona).
"When I ran against John McCain, John McCain and I had real differences, sharp differences, but John McCain didn't deny climate science," Obama recalled.

Trump buffaloes and bumbles sometimes has some bad ideas. But as far as being destructive... I agree; look at actual outcomes of Trump activity and the non-destructiveness is very plain!

Obama's coming at it from a completely different direction. His idea of "constructive" is polar opposite from mine. In short, Ted Cruz would be light years more constructive for the US than Trump. Cruz 'gets' many things that Trump doesn't, particularly when it comes to Putin and his mission to basically bring back the Soviet Union (and then-some if you include military positions in the strategic, resource-rich Middle East).
As I've pointed out numerous times with my, er, "spam" posts, Russia is not only invading or threatening their neighbors in Eastern Europe, they've been stepping up their arms transfers to hostile leftist regimes throughout Latin America. That plus holding annual war games with the ChiComs in obvious preparation for war with US and out NATO allies. But you go on closing your eyes and ears to all of this.
Cruz hasn’t even noticed the Christian element of Russia. It’s not atheistic any more over there, in case anybody noticed.

When I look at this, I see what Obama is NOT saying. He is not saying that Trump and Cruz are both so far out of it that Hillary or Bernie will wipe the floor with them.
What I hear is somebody who’s not all that concerned with who gets elected. He’s not saying the world will fall apart if Trump or Cruz get elected; he’s just saying he hopes the R’s choose a moderate. If he truly believed that Trump and Cruz are way out of the mainstream he would want the R’s to nominate them so Hillary or Bernie would win. If he was really concerned he would be saying Trump and Cruz are dangerous and need to be defeated. He’s not saying that. These comments are as bland and ho-hum as any politician gets.
I suspect that Obama knows that the 2016 election is moot because Iran will do an EMP attack on us before any new President-elect could be inaugurated anyway. Obama’s regime has been working hard these past 7 years to weaken us and make sure that armed, funded, trained terror cells have been given an open door to enter the country and free rein once they’re here, and America’s sworn enemies have the bomb that they’ve been practicing to deliver at EMP altitudes. Everything is ready.
And Obama is planning on being in the southern hemisphere yukking it up with his communist Central/South American terrorist buddies during November and December - just in time for an attack on the US to cause chaos that keeps any new POTUS from being inaugurated. The terror sleeper cells that he’s been holding the door open for (including those flown into Venezuela - with the approval of his communist terrorist buddy Hugo Chavez - on unchecked flights from Iran) can take over every state capitol in the chaotic aftermath of an EMP and claim the US for the worldwide caliphate within 2 years’ time, which would be right on time for Obama to have been correct when he said in July of 2008 that he would be POTUS for “the next 8 to 10 years”.

Obama didn’t single out Trump. He referred to both Trump and Cruz.
But see my comment right before this for my take on what Obama’s apathetic response might mean.
What kind of fundraising is Obama doing for the DNC and/or either Hillary or Sanders? How invested is he in this election? From what I see at this point his attitude is “Meh.” And that would make sense if he knows the 2016 election is moot - a way to keep us fighting, entertained, and/or demoralized so we’re not preparing for what he’s been preparing for us the past 7 years...
