In an interview published Monday morning, President Barack Obama said he hopes that the Republican Party nominates someone more moderate than the party's current presidential front-runners.
Obama, speaking with Politico correspondent Glenn Thrush, implicitly compared the 2016 race to his own opponent in 2008: Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona).
"When I ran against John McCain, John McCain and I had real differences, sharp differences, but John McCain didn't deny climate science," Obama recalled.

He walked right into that one. He he.
This is better than any endorsement...Obama doesn’t want him. Maybe he is sweating Trump getting rid of his executive orders like the ones sealing all his records.
Sounds like Obama is endorsing Cruz. After all, they worked together to pass his Trade Promotion Authority.
As if Obunga new the difference between “constructive” and “CONSTRICTIVE.”
As if Obunga knew the difference between “constructive” and “CONSTRICTIVE.”
Science also proved the Germans are the master race.
“We are 5 days away from the fundamental destr..., i mean, er, “transformation”, of the United States of America!” (his idiot supporters cheering in background)
You beat me to it. Trump doesn't fit the agenda, huh Obama?
Hey Obama, I hope someday you have an open mind enough to study some American History and realize what a great country we were until 2008.
Love that tagline and how I wish more would understand it,
All the more reason to vote for him.
There isn’t a person on earth, either past or present, that can say what the temperature of the earth SHOULD BE at any given point in time. Even the concept is absurd.
Obama wants the GOP to nominate someone more ‘constructive’ and so do you.
I knew there was a closet Obamunist inside you somewhere.
Best endorsement Trump could get.
Man all these endorsements and anti-endorsements has my heads spinning.
First Trent Lott and Bob Dole choose Trump so I’m like I better go with Cruz.
Then Palin says Trump...hmmm....maybe Trump is good.
Then Glenn Beck says Cruz...so wow...really need Trump.
Rick Perry says Cruz...well that’s kind of neutral. I do like him though.
Now Obama says someone other than Trump.
Race was always a concern. Open season on white rich men right now.
“John McCain didn’t deny climate science”
I think Trump called it a bunch of crap.
Consistently, the Opposite of what the Won comes out and says he believes or wants is what is best for America.
I will keep this Obama quote in mind when I go to the polls and vote for Trump.
‘’It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.’’
-Barack Obama, speaking at a San Francisco fundraiser about his troubles winning over some small-town, working-class voters, April 11, 2008
Go Trump! Go Trump! Go Trump! Go Trump! Go Trump! Go Trump!
‘This is better than any endorsement...Obama doesnât want him...’
‘Sounds like Obama is endorsing Cruz...’
Yep. Cruz is eating his heart out: “Why not me?”

We need to cut those poor Cruz supporters some slack. Trump keeps looking better. Let Cruz supporters rant a little. They are hurting.
McCain needs to issue a statement, similar to his virtual concession speech during his last debate with Barry, that we should not be “skeered” of a Trump Presidency, and that Trump is a good, family man.
