I caught the first part of Beck’s speech and normally I can’t listen to him because he is so insanely depressing but I appreciated the references to the dark times of the revolutionary war, civil war, WWII and the great depression, recalling that we made it through those dark days. It was a good reminder.

Will poster pollywog please stop making blanket statements...such as Trump is less conservative, not a conservative etc.? If pollywog really wants to be relevant, pollywog needs to define at least 5 issues on which Trump is less conservative than any other candidate, based on Trump’s pronouncements since 2012. Otherwise it is just hot air.
Age changes people. Time changes people. Trump is nearing age 70. He has definitely changed into more socially conservative than he was 10 years ago. He was always very conservative on military & fiscal issues.

“Time for choosing” is an excellent meme that showcases his accomplishments and the lack thereof of his elected opponents.

As for Cruz, he had been handing out teddy bears and soccer balls. That was his response to the death and destruction visited upon US citizens by the never-ending flood of foreign invaders. He changed his tune after Trump sent a seismic quake through the campaign.
I agree, during Live Threads, FReepers shouldn’t be going on another’s candidates thread with the intent to trash it. However, there is nothing wrong with being on another’s candidates thread and posting.
There are many Trump rally threads and most of the conservation is very positive and upbeat, but there are some Cruz supports that like to jump on flame away. In retrospect, there are few Cruz rally threads and there are plenty of Trump supports who also like Cruz. When one does appear, those that like Cruz like to come on and chat. I will not deny that there are some Trump supporters that do stir the pot and shouldn’t be doing so. The difference that Onyx has pointed out is that the conversations aren’t positive, and it just appears to be a culmination of Trump bashing which is shameful.

I frankly don’t need to hear what I’m already aware of....and have been long before Cruz announced.
I happen to investigate my candidate fully and completely before I decide...and I did so with Cruz ‘before the run’ since I knew the junk would be out there afterward.
I know fully where he stands and more importantly why.....but thanks for your interest ....
Then why are you here posting on this thread if you’re happy with Trump.....are you having second thoughts so watching Cruz was a good thing perhaps??
I am a Cruz supporter but do not join in because I don’t care for the venom. I have said I would vote for Trump if he wins the nomination. I do not wish to become embittered by comments such as yours.
