The ad goes on to say that Trump bulldozed the home of an elderly widow in Atlantic City to build a limousine parking lot at his casino.
"Trump won't change the system. He's what's wrong with it," it says in the end.
Cruz tweeted his ad Friday morning saying "It's time we change the system and break the #WashingtonCartel -- together!"

The ad clearly gives the impression that Trump bullldozed her home. Typical lawyer, hide behind weasle words. Reminds me of “it depends on the meaning of ‘is’” But ok, the ad also says Trump used eminent domain to get rich? Care to provide some proof of that.
In a decision that Justice Scalia has lumped in with Roe v. Wade and Dred Scott as three of the worst decisions ever made by the Supreme Court.
But I guess that makes what Trump did OK.
Then how could it have possibly made him rich, as the ad claims?
Many of us supporters of Sen. Cruz are nonetheless appreciative that trump raised certain issues. I imagine that that generalizes to Sen. Cruz. Doesn’t mean we want trump for president.
Nope he did collude to have the government steal her house and give it to him. What would be the point of saying she sued and won in court. He’s trying to show what Donald Trump is all about, not what she is all about. And let’s face it, Donald Trump is quite open about supporting KELO and eminent domain for private gain. This ad just puts a face on it. And that face is Donald Trump!
Lie. Trump never acquired any property though eminent domain.
Then how could it have possibly made him rich, as the ad claims?
Ted is lying. Or at least playing fast and loose with the facts.
That illustrates the trouble with basing claims on lies.
Got links for that?
Was that after it sold at auction for 530K?
Trump DID NOT try to TAKE the property, he offered her 3 times the value!!! You are using language just like Hillary would use!!! Not marked CLASSIFIED instead of not marked SECRET!!! Nice try!!!!
thanks for saving me from having to post to a liar.
“Trump DID NOT try to TAKE the property”
Yes, he most certainly did. In eminent domain cases, the government is always the one filing the case, because of their nature, but in this case, they were going to deliver the property to a private party (TRUMP), just like in the Kelo vs. New London case. The government was a conduit acting on behalf of Trump, the crony capitalist.
What's up with that?
I just don't get it, but that's just me, one if "the little guys/gals" that Trump's telling he's promising to protect!
The ad goes on to say that Trump bulldozed the home of an elderly widow in
Atlantic City to build a limousine parking lot at his casino.

That is a complete falsehood if they are speaking of the Vera Coking house. Yes Trump
at one time tried to get the property but lost. Coking remained in her house until 2010
when she moved to California. Her house was put on the market in 2011 for $5 million but
didn’t sell. It was later reduced to $1 million but still did not sell. It finally was
sold for $530,000 in an auction on July 31, 2014. The buyer was Carl Icahn, who held
the debt on Trump Entertainment, owner of Trump Plaza. He subsequently demolished the house.

He offered her 3 times the value. And then, when she refused, he got the Atlantic City CRDA to try to seize the property using eminent domain and give it to Trump.
Here are all the facts about the home and the lady, Vera Coking:

The ad also says Trump got rich using eminent domain. Another lie. Trump has never taken control of one inch of property via eminent domain. Cruz is a liar.
Yup. The billionaire who has (according to Trump himself) bought and sold politicians throughout his entire career says you should vote for him because the other guys are bought and sold by millionaires.
I guess the implication is that politicians are bought and sold anyway, so let's just cut out the middleman.
Who bulldozed it?
*************
The property purchaser Carl Ican.
The real story is about the greedy son.
