TED CRUZ - THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION
Senator Cruz took office in January, 2013. January through September of 2013 Cruz campaigned against Obamacare, forcing a government shutdown. It appeared he was doing the right thing â for the right reasons. However, he received intense backlash for a junior senator with only a few months on the job. He was ridiculed and marginalized. Then, he made a telling decision.
In October of 2013 Cruz made a strategic decision to regain credibility and influence. To achieve this he partnered with the very political machine he previously opposed, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and then Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell.
McConnell directed Cruz to join the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Through 2014 Cruz served as Vice-Chair inside the NRSC, a powerful part of the DC machine. He forwarded their program refusing to assist any political entity not in alignment with the group's objectives. In short, he sold his soul to McConnell Inc. In early 2014, McConnell vowed to beat back tea party candidates wherever they surfaced. "I think we are going to crush them everywhere," he said in March, 2014.
Cruz publicly separated himself from McConnell Inc., but carried the objectives of the 2013 plan forward quietly behind the scenes. While publicly railing against what he called the DC Cartel, a group he was bound to assist from his prior pledge to them, he worked to achieve their goals nonetheless. When the President of the Chamber of Commerce called for an immigration package, conservatives erupted, accusing the Chamber of supporting amnesty to line the pockets of big business.
Senator Ted Cruz never once campaigned for a conservative in the 2014 mid-term races, nor did he ever discuss the absence of a federal budget once Republicans were in control of both the House and the Senate.
Rand Paul and Ted Cruz appeared on the Sean Hannity Program on January 13, 2014. Both Senators said they would not help new conservative faces attempting to unseat incumbents in that year's primaries.
Both Ted Cruz and Rand Paul were strongly supported and would not have won without support from the grass roots and the Tea Party. However, when they were needed most â they chose to stand on the sidelines.
the reality of the situation
No surprise here. LOL He was awol, but he already forgot that and hopes you won’t notice. LOL
I would ask that ALL Cruz supporters stick to the facts they have to rebut the narrative presented here. If you attack the sources or the poster, I will assume that you have no valid argument against the contentions here. If you attempt to change the topic, I will take that as affirmation of these very serious accusations.
Cruz was on that committee.
That Cruz allowed, or did not stop, the smearing of Chris McDaniel will be forever burned in my brain.
Some here claim Cruz has character and is a true conservative. Not when he facilitated this attack, without offering a single word of objection, a good man to be smeared as a racist. And Cruz stood by, watching the Mississippi GOP use time-tested DEMOCRAT garbage to do it.
Cruz is a self-centered, ambitious phony and a hack.
He has no character and is no conservative like I’ve ever known.
Keep digging for fool’s gold.......and keep ignoring Trump’s past.
Uh. Cruz joined the NRSC and then left it because he was frustrated with the inability to fix it. He tried to fix DC from within but the status quo leadership doesn’t allow things to change. Cruz is an ally
Of Chris McDaniel. Apparently the McConnell leadership thinks they can control Trump easier than Cruz and are picking sides.
Cruz made a promise after 2012 not to support against incumbents in the senate. He tried to play by their rules but the rules all seem to benefit the money people in Washington.
It was an open secret that McConnell gave Cruz the position to try to rein him in and keep him out of trouble (from McConnell’s perspective). Cruz was effectively a head of the minority of the committee, which means he had zero power. McDaniels knows that, which is why he is a prominent Cruz supporter.
This attack is disingenuous. I am a Cruz supporter who defends Trump from unfair and disingenuous attacks. (I just defended him against George Will, just now.) I wish Conservative Tree House had higher standards.
Just another sad case of CDS.
Discussed and debunked. Ted Cruz had nothing to do with the theft of the MS Senate primary. If he did, Chris McDaniel would certainly have nothing to do with him.
Are you stupid or are you a liar?
I’d believe you, but your explanation doesn’t account for the facts of McConnell’s bitter hatred for Ted and the very bitter public fight they have had. It has a chair and 3 vice-chairs, which means of course that a vice chair controls nothing.
“In short, he sold his soul to McConnell Inc.”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Just after the Texansâ election in November 2012, GOP leader Mitch McConnell â now the Senate majority leaderâasked Cruz to serve as NRSC vice chairman in charge of grassroots outreach. In effect, he sought to bring the tea partier into the tent by making him the liaison to tea partiers.
But it quickly became obvious that Cruz wasnât so much of a team player.
He sought to recruit and promote like-minded conservatives ahead of the 2014 GOP primaries. He worked with outside groups that sometimes backed candidates other than those picked and approved by the NRSC â in particular, the Senate Conservatives Fund, which backed challengers to a number of incumbent Republicans, even including McConnell.”

“A conservative outside group whose efforts Sen. Ted Cruz backed has called for defunding the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Cruz, an NRSC vice chairman and Texas Republican, has not rebuked the effort.
This weekend, Senate Conservatives Fund launched a campaign calling on conservatives to pledge not to give any money to the NRSC in the aftermath of last weekâs runoff in the Mississippi Senate race. As is typical, the NRSC backed Republican Sen. Thad Cochran, while the SCF and other outside groups backed his failed challenger, state Sen. Chris McDaniel...
...Last October, the tension between Cruzâs role at the NRSC and his backing of the SCF campaigns was apparent when the SCF endorsed Matt Bevin in the Kentucky Republican primary against Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.”

Let’s see: Ted Cruz is evil because he had a turbulent stint on the NRSC, but Trump is going to save us after praising Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Y’all are barking mad!
The reality of the situation is that Ted Cruz has forgotten more about conservatism than Donald Trump will ever know.
And no committee member has ever been against, or been disappointed in, the eventual action of the committee? Every committee ever has always ben unanimous? Interesting assumption.
Cruz can't win with folks like you AND the GOPe.
Cruz got criticized by the the GOPe on the NRSC for being one of only two senators to work with the SCF raising money in 2013 to defeat RINO colleagues.
The GOPe then pressured Cruz to stop his work with the SCF, so in Cruz 2014 tries to get along and stops SCF work. In July of 2014 Cruz gets booted from his NSRC co-chair position and he resigns because he objected to what they were doing.
So we have Trump and Trump supporters criticizing Cruz for not getting along with the GOPe and at the same time we have Trump supporters blaming Cruz for getting along with the GOPe.
As I said in another post, we will not get another GOP senator in this generation who is going to fight the GOPe. And it's because we have folks on our side who will stab such a senator in both the back and the front.
Meanwhile in the fall 2013, while Tea Party favorite Cuccinelli was in a close race with McAullife in Virginia, the GOPe pulls campaign funds from him and Donald J. Trump donates 25K to Clinton sycophant McAullife. Cuccinelli winds up losing by two points.
“Whoopsieâ¦â¦ Yes it would appear that Ted Cruz is incredibly disappointed inâ¦. himself.”

The NRSC, along with it’s house counterpart the NRCC, is corrupt. There is no other way to put it. I’m still waiting for Ted to condemn their current scam of stealing campaign money from Trump supporters, as he takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from them.
Here’s how it works. You see a NRSC prez poll on Facebook and vote for Trump and get on their mail list. Soon you are swamped with email selling Trump gear, stickers, tshirts, you name it. NOT ONE CENT ever goes to the Trump Campaign. This is where it goes:
From open secrets, donations to Cruz: 2. Senate Conservatives Fund $315,991
Here is the FB poll: https://yourvoice.nrsc.org/landing/presidential-poll/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=20160104_nrsc-lb-votetrumprubiocruz_facebook&utm_content=nrsc&utm_term=83920800
This is the National Republican Senatorial Committee and they are CONNING you to hurt the Trump campaign!
They have been doing this for months and it’s cost the Trup campaign likely millions. http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/2015/09/more-gop-fundraising-on-trump-name-now.html
I would be more inclined to look into the voters and local party political machine that continuously reelects the bozo then throw bricks at a “Texas” as well as a “Kentucky” Senator for failing to save another state from their own stupidity.
well someone should explain that to Chris, as he still supports Cruz. Posts about that all the time on his facebook page. Who is zooming who?
Boom! Nobody stepped up and helped McDaniel. Just like nobody is trying to stop Obama by impeachment. This is the bad state of congress. Tea Party is a mess. Otherwise it would have been howling about this and done more than howl. Cruz and the rest should have stepped up to bat. I figured it was not his role to do it. But he should have anyways. They all should have come to rescue of McDaniel. They just dropped it just like Fast and Furious was dropped.
