GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared to walk back his campaign spokesmanâs earlier comments about Gov. Sarah Palinâs expected endorsement of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in Ames, Iowa on Tuesday evening.

Well, I’m not thrilled with her choice; but it’s her choice; and that still does not change my support for Ted.
Palin getting slammed everywhere on social media. This is sure to damage Palin’s cred. Cruz comes out looking good, he isn’t nasty and Palin is joining the establishment now.
Cruz is leading a movement conservatives picked up on after Sarah decided to reality tv.
Cruz on!
Cruze has begun to realize that he screwed the pooch with his hubris.
You are easily deceived. Cruz is walking back his statement, because he now realizes that he has doomed his political career.
Cruze has begun to realize that he screwed the pooch with his hubris.
Which is the beauty and strength of Free Republic: the ability to encourage and sustain a variety of voices.
The adolescents who can't abide by this, who throw out taunts and jeers to those who disagree with them just demean the forum.
holy cow only a smattering of applause for Sarah, this is not that a big a deal,no problem Ted, its all about her.
To think I used to adore this woman
Hey she fits right in with Trump talking about KICKING ASS so I guess she has fallen away from Christ
You lost your conservative creds long ago when you treated anyone who wasn't a Trump Toady with great disrespect. You have tattled because I posted a graphic you didn't approve of, successfully getting it pulled. In that way, you behave EXACTLY like a liberal. You also ping a list of people to anti-Trump posts so you can bully that poster en masse. Another liberal trait.
And now you have the nerve to call brickdds' post "pathetic"? No wonder you support Trump. Just like him, you talk out of both sides of your mouth.
Meanwhile....don't be a .....
This is a bit disappointing to me. I wish she’d endorsed Cruz or at least wait until we have some actual votes to see how the candidates are going to fare in garnering actual votes rather than just polls.
However, looking down the road if Cruz is able to pull off an upset against Trump, does anyone seriously think Palin won’t be enthusiastic about him as the nominee?
NOT a class act...his own spokesperson BASHED Sarah this morning!!! Do not be fooled by this “walking it back.” How Team Cruz handled this event was disgraceful, given how Sarah campaigned and fundraised for Ted in 2012.
That seems to be working both ways. I've been lurking through most of the anti-either-one threads, but I'd have to say things are pretty well split.
Seems to be about 7-10 rabid FReepers on each side that are responsible for 80% of the threads and comments
When has Sarah NOT been slammed on social media every time her name comes up?
Amen. It sure ain’t.
I wish folks would lighten up a bit. Post positive things about those you support, and don’t wallow in the negative.
Sarah Palin talked about the question of Trump not being conservative enough, she said it was the establishment saying Trump was not Conservative, ok some, BUT Cruz is NOT establishment, so she was being dishonest, and he is very conservative
A lot of the people in that room wont even be able to find the location of the caucuses
I agree with your statement
I am disappointed that she chose to support Trump. But I hope she and the most conservative candidate...Cruz...can still be friends.
