Trump has repeatedly told us he’d put the best of the best, no BS people on as staff/advisors as well as military commanders.

It’s what all Commanders in Chief are supposed to do so it protects America and put American interest first. We instead got political hacks and cronies, academia hacks, bankers, insiders, lobbyist and influence peddlers calling the shots.

I’ve always thought Trump was going to pick a VP from outside the beltway. That eliminates Cruz. I suppose it’s PC to say Trump may pick Cruz to get his supporters to switch over to Trump. But it’s not going to happen. Somebody like a Mattis or even Petraeus would be a fine consul and VP to businessman Trump.

You may be on the right track as far as someone dropping out and endorsing Trump. Trying to think of the bottom tier - I don’t think Carson is ready to drop out yet, just don’t know that Huckabee would endorse Trump, think he’d be more apt to endorse Cruz - Cruz is a strong Christian - Trump...not so much (I don’t think). Fiorina never would endorse Trump, Bush should drop out but don’t see him endorsing Trump ever! I’m wondering about Allen West - someone mentioned him, would be a great endorsement.

Both Huckabee and Carson have had good things to say about Trump. Especially Huck recently. Carson has had key campaign staff quit and could be because they see the writing on the wall. As far as the Christian thing, that is not as important in this election as some would like, IMO. We either fix our country or we are done. Trump can do that. Cruz cannot.

I think you are right. She likes Trump & Cruz, but I think Cruz is done, so she may as well start backing Trump.
