Hillary Clinton on Sunday defended instructing an aide to send information to her through a "nonsecure" channel, saying the data she requested was not classified and accusing her presidential rivals of seeking to score political points over a non-issue.
The State Department released more than 3,000 of Clinton's emails from her time as secretary of State on Friday. One of the emails has drawn scrutiny because in it, Clinton, who was awaiting a secure fax detailing talking points, instructed an adviser to turn the talking points into "nonpaper w no identifying heading and send nonsecure" because the fax wasn't coming through.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has called the email "disturbing," but Clinton on Sunday defended her actions and said the talking points were "never sent" in a non-secure fashion.
"This is another instance where what is common practice - I need information, I had some points I had to make, and I was waiting for a secure fax that could give me the whole picture, but oftentimes there is a lot of information that isn't at all classified," Clinton said Sunday on 'Face the Nation.' "So whatever information can be appropriately transmitted unclassified often was. That's true for every agency in the government and everybody that does business with the government."
In the email marked June 17, 2011, Clinton told aide Jake Sullivan that she hadn't yet received a set of talking points.
"They say they've had issues sending secure fax," Sullivan says. "They're working on it."
Responded Clinton: "If they can't, turn into nonpaper w no identifying heading and send nonsecure."
"The important point here is that I had great confidence because I worked with Jake Sullivan for years," Clinton said. "He is the most meticulous, careful person you could possibly do business with and he knew exactly what was and wasn't appropriate."
I absolutely believe this. This is why "Jake" didn't take it upon himself to strip the classification and send it on his own; he knew it was wrong to do so and only did it when commanded to by Hillary.
She KNOWS how to delete the headers from an email to remove traceability, yet she does not have a clue about wiping a hard drive?
So Hillary’s excuse is, “It is ok that I told him to break the law, because I knew he would not break the law even though I told him to.”
Someone needs to tell Hillary that is a real no no.

Like the book, it is supposed to be "non-political". However, it's really easy to connect the dots.
There it is, Travis, the proof of what you and I and many others have been saying right from the start. In Extremis forces were on the way until someone stopped them. As you said from the start only one person can give the order to cross the border of a foreign nation which means only one person can stop those forces by withholding his approval. POTUS.
All that is left to find out is if Jake did as commanded and commit a felony for his boss. If so, then the bus is on its way. If not, they will send the bus out just in case.
Yep, and the State Dept has already said there’s no evidence that the doc got sent out. So Hillary skates again. She’s already said that everybody does it implying that everybody tells everybody else to break the law. But even in Washington, that’s really not true.

High time she went to the Big House.
So many in this country, instead of giving her much deserved jail time, would give her the White House. God help us.

i think Hillary is throwing Sullivan under the bus here: saying if anything untoward happen, it’s because of Jake Sullivan, cause she believed he knew what “was or wasn’t appropriate.” As Secretary of State, Hillary just didn’t know what was what, and was misled by trusting this man.

However, if there were NSA intercepts, she wouldn't have had the authority to declassify them.
