Full title: Tripwire Alert – Donald Trump Warns GOPe Brilliantly – Understands Mississippi – Places Chris McDaniel Lawyer Mitch Tyner Center Stage…

We try not to underestimate Donald Trump any longer. In the beginning of this campaign we thought no candidate could thoroughly comprehend the tentacles of the Machiavellian schemes as well those who research these endeavors 24/7/365.

However, we are continually amazed at how The Donald not only understands the constructs, but has an insight to fire subtle shots in their direction that only those who are immersed in politics can see. Not trying to give him too much credit, but damn, the man represents the smartest republican political strategist in our lifetime – and he’s also the flippin’ candidate.

I didn’t pay much attention to Meg’s race against Brown, so I’m unsure about how great a candidate she is

It is California for crying out loud if you run on the Republican ticket you are a 4 to 1 dog out the gate.

I hope you’re not attributing that fraud in MS to Cruz.
Why not? is he some kind of Saint? He admitted to lying about a proposal to a bill. It doesn't matter that you approve why he lied, the fact is he lied. BTW, His website shows he made proposals to that bill as if to be proud of them. Was he lying then or is he lying now.

He signed away his constitutional right of veto to give Obama/Kerry unconstitutional power to give Iran a nuclear bomb, $150 billion and US protection to Iran from Israel...Him going along with paying Democrats to support a fraud is nothing in comparison to what we already know about him.

The GOPe through the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee (NRSCC), where Ted Cruz was a vice-chair member, then paid Democrats to vote in the runoff to aid Cochran.
Ted Cruz is a fraud. He's everything he pretends to hate. He feeds at the crony capitalist trough just like all the other RINO's and liberals do.

Ted Cruz is a member in good standing with the "Washington Cartel".

Sorry, but if you read further on the thread, you’ll see that is an incorrect claim. He was not involved in that chicanery in Mississippi.

I believe Cruz should have revealed the corruption while there was still time ...IOW before the election was over. I feel he is far too protective of his own skin. My opinion.
I was once a Cruz supporter, but several wrong steps (at least I consider them that) drove me away. I was very happy to see Trump get in the mix because I have watched him for years and like his style. He doesn’t beat around the bush. He simply tells it like it is and I like the direct approach. Have known too many slick tongued politicians.

Cruz was on both, but resigned the position on the NRSCC after the Mississippi mess. I just posted a link to an article about it. Sounds like Cruz pitched in to genuine conservatives, didn’t attend much of the NRSCC stuff, and set up the Senate Conservatives Fund to oppose the crap that the NRSCC was doing. Seems like he has since aligned himself with CONSERVATIVES and not necessarily REPUBLICANS, though the NRSCC work was to try to get a Republicn majority.

Bad odds. Trump claims to be no gambling man, but with odds like those, Meg may be a no go.

SCOTUS Cruz might be good. I worry that he’s been squishy in the Senate on some important votes, maybe too influenced by approval of RINOs. Then I think of how much hope we had for Roberts who went more than squishy on critical votes. Could Cruz hold his own as SCOTUS and not buckle under pressure? I’m not saying he can’t; I just wonder.

I like Pirro or Napolitano or Levin for SCOTUS.

He was certainly making sure he was seen without being obvious or obnoxious
There was a rather attractive blonde sitting, or maybe standing, in front of him. Then all of a sudden she was not to be seen except for the top of her head in front of that lawyer. He definitely had a presence. I thought he was just an enthusiastic supporter.

You have nailed some of the exact reasons I abandoned Cruz. There are others.

If Cruz wasn’t at the meetings, as the others on the NRSCC complained, then he may not have known specifics about the corruption until the McDaniel folks revealed it. I don’t know for sure, but I think Cruz was very busy at the time doing all kinds of things that have won him the hatred of the establishment, and helped to seat some conservatives.

Ultimately, I think Trump and Cruz will run together, and I will vote for them. We need the skills they both have, and I think they would make a fantastic team. I wish the supporters of each would take their cues from these men themselves, who have been careful to make sure the real enemy is identified, and made sure not to get distracted by circular firing squads. We need both these men, let’s not kill either one.

Cruz would make an excellent AG in the Trump admin and then be nominated for SCOTUS. Warranty for 30 years instead of 4-8 years as POTUS.

Totally agree. I see this as a better path for Cruz than POTUS. He's too acadamic to be POTUS for my taste...we need a steamroller now. We are damn lucky that Trump has stepped up to the plate.
