Thank you, Mr. Trump — keep attacking the Clintons
The Hill ^ | January 01, 2016 | Lanny J. Davis

So I can just imagine Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's inner voice giving him advice in his usual fact-free zone - the same voice that told him he "watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down" - though we now know there was no such scene. None.

You of all people on this forum know that the issue of H1-B1s has been covered extensively on this forum and I'm not going to resumarize the whole argument as it is out there for people to read about that these were Poison Pills employed by Jeff Sessions and Cruz to smoke out the amnesty pimps who wanted the gang of 8 bill to pass with amnesty.

The tough thing that you may have to come to grips with is that Trump has some major liabilities and has a huge past of supporting liberal policies and liberal politicians. I cringe thinking of the dem attacks that will be used on him by calling out his extensive liberal past.

Now we know that Trump is opening up some Clinton camp wounds when Lanny Davis is brought out of mothballs for disgusting job pay.

I’m for the conservative, I try to practice decorum by not resorting to personal attacks or posting the Cruz ping list in Trump threads. But, I will call out Trump’s hypocrisy when it shows and for him to start attacks on the Clintons when he has been palling around with them for years will get a response from me. I mean no disrespect, but I will smoke out Trump when there’s evidence that his deeds and intentions are not sincere.

“Just because he had a fundraiser at the home of two gay businessmen doesn’t mean much of anything. “

But if it was Trump that had that, it would be repeated by the Cruz people 10000 times PER DAY.

And it’s the vaulted evangelical voters that you have to watch out for. The Dems would use that to chip off a huge chunk of them just before the election in the fall.

Just like they almost did with George W. and the DUI.

If I were a liberal Democrat, people would say I'm the super genius of all time. The super genius of all time. If you're a conservative Republican, you've got to fight for your life. It's really an amazing thing..

Thank you, Donald, for having the intestinal fortitude to stand up and say what we are all thinking, and not backing down.

Thanks for making Libs heads explode. I'm enjoying the heck out of the show- whether you get the nomination or not.

Trump is much more credible attacking the Clintons than Cruz will ever be, so let him do it. You said it yourself above, Trump is for Trump. If he attacks the Clintons, that's great and you should be applauding him. Trump is flattening the Clintons and their media sycophants and Cruz will only benefit from that.

Problem for Lanny Davis, and his ilk is that they have no experience with an opposition candidate like Trump.

Trump is self funded, has more experience in dealing with media than any others, and surrounds himself with the best people.

It all depends what they are meeting about, but it may throw up a flag if Trump was meeting with a gay organization because Trump has a past that is rife with liberal leanings including gay marriage. Knowing a couple of evangenicals in my family and throughout my life I don’t think there is an open hatred towards homosexuals in that community, but there is a disagreement on their lifestyle and attempts to shove the gay agenda down our throats. Cruz did not meet with an organization that was pushing a gay agenda he was meeting with two gay one indvidials. Cruz has never supported the gay agenda or gay marriage and being a Christian I can only assume that he is open to reaching out to others who do not share his viewpoint.

You don’t think that his liberal past and association with the Clintons will be used as a weapon against him when he runs for office? This guy is a bigger flip flopper than Mitt Romney. He is not best equipped to take on the Clintons his past is going to come back and bite him and he’s losing or tied with Hill in head to head match ups.

Trump is a yuge flip flopper and the only reason why he’s attacking Clinton now is because she stands in his way for power.

I agree. Even though both Clinton’s are teeming with target areas, they have not been gone after with the kind of vengeance Trump can and will use.

And there may be younger people who are unaware of their trashy past.

The indictment of Bill Cosby came at an opportune time ... Black guy gets indicted because a bunch of wanna bees were supposedly abused by him ... white guy gets to remain president although credible and provable charges were made against him

And Hillary’s hands are not just dirty but filthy in the whole ugly mess, not to mention her financial shenanigans.

How’s he going to bring up sex scandals when he supported Clinton through his in the 90s? Again, I think this is a classic case of people projecting their views on Trump. You want Trump to be a conservative, you convince yourself that he talks tough and will govern that way despite mounds of evidence that his views have been erratic bouncing between the left and the right for decades.

Lanny Davis — neck-deep in the 900 raided FBI files.

Obstruction of justice and his attacks on witnesses were clear acts of moral turpitude IMO:

https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/GPO-CDOC-106sdoc3/html/GPO-CDOC-106sdoc3-7.htm

“In the course of its investigation, Judicial Watch has uncovered substantial evidence of unlawful misuses of information in government files, abuses of power and violations of the Privacy Act. The substantial evidence uncovered by Judicial Watch’s investigation links
key presidential advisors such as James Carville, Harold Ickes, Lanny Davis, Kenneth Bacon and even the President himself, to this unlawful conduct. The obvious purpose behind the unlawful misuse of this information is to discredit, if not destroy, perceived adversaries and
critics of the President.”

[snip]

Lanny Davis, a ``Special Counsel to the President,’’
testified at his deposition in Judicial Watch’s ``Filegate’’ investigation that he was hired by the Clinton White House Counsel’s office and worked closely with that office.(89) That office, which helped to orchestrate the unlawful transfer of hundreds of FBI files, and, according to Linda Tripp, loaded them onto White House computers, is at the very center of egregious violations of privacy
rights and other unlawful conduct.

Davis’ testimony shows, at the very least, that he unlawfully maintained a system of records on notable Clinton adversaries without fulfilling the proper notice requirements as mandated by the Privacy Act. Davis testified that during his tenure at the Clinton White House, he personally maintained files containing information about prominent Clinton adversaries, such as Judge Kenneth Starr,(90) Senator Fred Thompson,(91) Representative Dan Burton,(92) Senator Henry Hyde,(93) Monica Lewinsky,(94) Kathleen Willey,(95) and David
Hale.(96) Davis also maintained files containing information about Larry Lawrence, Roger Tamraz, Doris Matsui, Webster Hubbell, Nora and Gene Lum, John Huang, Pauline Kachanalak, Johnny Chung, and Charlie
Trie.(97) Many of these files were identified, either in
whole or in part, by the individual’s name, such as ``Starr,’’ ``Monica Lewinsky,’’ ``Kathleen Willey’’ and ``John Huang.’’(98)

Davis also testified that he was ``eclectic’’ in his judgment as to what to put in such files, and that he would generally include any document that he might need to use at some point.(99) Such documents included public statements and stories by the media.(100) Yet, Davis admitted that the media ``frequently does not’’ publish accurate information, undoubtedly thanks to his assistance.(101)

Davis admitted that he maintained these files so that he could disseminate information to the media and thus help them write ``good’’ and ``bad’’ stories.(102) Yet before Davis released information from any of these files to the media, he never consulted with anyone referenced in the materials, never sought their permission, and knew of no one at the Clinton White House who did so.(103) Davis, Ickes and Carville continue to advise the Clinton White House on impeachment and other issues,(104) and it is likely that they continue to receive information from
government files.

[snip]

Seems to me that a lot of people have been throwing dirt and trying to dig up stuff against Trump since he decided to run. So far, after so called conservatives, Establishment Repubs, Democrats and every other anti-American bunch of nuts have continued to empty their reserves of bile and viciousness, NOTHING has stuck to the Donald.Just keep it up and watch Trump’s poll numbers rise.

I don’t hate you, I don’t hate Trump, but I would seriously question your conservative leanings if you donated thousands of dollars to him, invited him to your wedding and constantly flip flopped like Trump.
