Jeb Bush, who is still running for president, challenged Donald Trump to debate today.
"I'll take you on one-on-one in a debate. Anytime, anyplace, I'll do it."
Later today Donald Trump posted a photo of Jeb picking his nose.

Anyone who believes that Jim is being duped by Trump or anyone else is an arrogant fool.
Well said.
Typical incompetent boob...he missed.
Bush did everything he could to save Terri Schiavo. He couldn’t achieve it because of opposition from good ol boy Jim King (GOP head of the Florida Senate, and, like every other politician in Florida, a friend of the powerful Scientologists in St Pete). At the very end, standing outside of the hospital, we thought the state police were going to be ordered to take her out of the building. But then the sheriff and the mayor declared that they would resist with weapons if need be to keep her in the hospital where she was being put to death. And the lousy bishop Lynch had forbidden his priests to visit her and had left the country so that he couldn’t be challenged.
Bush felt that he’d trigger both a shooting war and possibly a massive disruption of the constitutional powers of government at the state level.
I think he should have gone ahead but the problem was that he had no popular support. I was one of a tiny handful of Catholics and evangelicals outside the hospital. We were, in fact, outnumbered by the press.
If you want to blame anybody, blame the Scientologists, since she had a stroke and entered into a coma during one of their purging rituals, and of course they had a vested interest in killing her. But Bush did all he could do with the law.
I don’t like him as a presidential candidate and I wouldn’t vote for him, but he did as much as he thought he could legally do. Of course, one of the problems with both Jeb and his brother was that they were almost too respectful of procedures. But compared to the jerk Obama declaring that his wish is our command, that now looks pretty good.
If you need to know, the last few years I have been literally getting shot out out in the oilfields of the Permian Basin.
No, Donald Trump was not there.
Oh man can’t make this sh^t up...laughing so hard.
He’s not foolin’ anyone.
If they hadn’t nailed him to the perch he’d be poooshing up daisies.
At the time it seemed 80% of freepers thought Jeb was doing nothing much to help Terry Schiavo. So Terry Schiavo and her husband were Scientologists?
“Anyone who believes that Jim is being duped by Trump or anyone else is an arrogant fool.”
I’m not sure if it was his insulting comment on this thread, or if it was his bad attitude on every other thread he posted on today, but his account is now suspended. There’s a couple others who are getting down right nasty/mean as well.
Exactly!
This may be the ugliest campaign season since I joined here in 2002. Some Freepers are becoming unhinged.
“Caddyshack.” The country club employees secretly watching and betting on Judge Smails’ teenage grandson picking... and eating... his boogers.
And did he eat it? ;d
The husband was a Scientologist and made her become one. Terri Schiavo was very intimidated by him but even so was thinking of leaving, so they made her go through a “cleansing ritual,” basically an extreme fast and sensory deprivation activity. She had a stroke in the course of this and went into a coma, although at the time of her death she was conscious and could respond to stimuli. This was why her husband and the hospital wouldn’t let people visit her, including her family.
All of the government of St. Pete and all of the judiciary was and probably still is controlled by the Scientologists (it’s their headquarters). They are very powerful throughout Florida, but especially in the Tampa-St Petes area.
They are much more powerful than the Catholic Church, especially with the morally compromised Bishop Lynch in charge, and one of the things that undermined Bush’ attempts to save Terri was the fact that he got no support from Lynch and in fact almost none from any of the other bishops (I think there were only two out of the 16 Florida bishops who publicly supported him in his fight to save Terri).
Bush took this to the Supreme Court and fought in every legal way to save her. If the Florida legislature had passed the bill that he introduced, he would have had the legal authority to remove her from the hospital. But it was blocked by another Republican (Senate leader Jim King, supposedly an Evangelical, from Jacksonville).
People here who criticize him weren’t at the hospital when push came to shove. I was, and I was frankly stunned that the sheriff and the mayor anounced that any attempt to remove her (an ambulance had been sent and was near the door) would be resisted by any means possible, including force.
But what really bothered me more than anything else was that so few people cared. I think there were maybe, at max, about 50 people there keeping vigil. And what were we going to do? In fact, one of the 100 or so journalists interviewed somebody in our group and asked why there weren’t more people there and really none of us had an answer. It was a disgrace.
I have finally figured out how Trump planned his campaign. He obviously spent months watching old Mel Brooks movies like Blazing Saddles along with The Three Stooges and The Marx Brothers. If Slim Pickens were still around Trump would have Slim introducing him to audiences.

As General Lee once said to his favorite cavalry commander who was tuning up his Banjo, “Pick it Jeb.”

That’s a movie that I watch pretty much wherever I catch it.
The sequel, >>compared to what’s made today<< is relatively funny too.
