Smug Cruz: The Full Recording of Ted Cruz Comments About Donald Trump and Ben Carson

Smug Cruz – The Full Recording of Ted Cruz Comments About Donald Trump and Ben Carson… Posted on December 11, 2015 by sundance A couple of short points (because the focus needs to be on his words) about this recording. Initially, when questioned Cruz denied the statement. Secondly, when questioned again by Megyn Kelly (last night) Cruz refused to take ownership of his words. This is a pattern, a long, historic, and very specific pattern. Pay close attention to his words.

Here’s the full audio as referenced in the New York Times article (click orange arrow):

I did a control + Find but didn't find this already posted (FR search doesn't work for me). Apologies if it's already posted here. I think our country's best survival plan would be for Cruz and Trump to work together, and it's kind of sad that it doesn't appear to be that way.

I found the comments at the end of this Conservative Treehouse article to be quite strong in nature, and I’m just wondering if we can’t find a way to unite.

Not with the Trump nuts out there, who are more than willing to overlook every red flag he’s been throwing up lately, and then attack Cruz supporters for pointing out Trump’s less-than Conservative past.

Again I ask the question. WHERE in this audio is there a statement from Cruz in which he says Trump is unqualified?

All I heard is Cruz saying he is better suited for the job. What candidate wouldn’t say this?

I like a lot of what Sundance has done. But this attack on Ted Cruz (smug?!) is just personal crap. Alinsky. Beneath conservatism.

Here is exactly what Ted Cruz said at a private event, in response to a question from the audience about candidates Carson and Trump:

"You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it's given a seriousness to this race," Cruz said. "People are looking for who is prepared to be a commander in chief. Who understands the threats we face. 'Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button?' Now that's a question of strength, but it's also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them."

I listened to the clip, and I like what I hear.

Cruz and Trump continue to be very respectful of one another, and I still expect to see them as running mates if neither of them implodes in the months ahead.

Cruz is my preference for president, but Trump keeps singing my song, and I think we are blessed to have two people in the race who understand what is at stake.

find a way to unite

I don't think saying in a private meeting that gravity will take down Trump's campaign is the way to unite.

The ONLY way we get rid of the establishment Republicans is for there to be four years of President Trump. I can't see him wanting eight years of it at his age. Why Trump on top? He can bring in young voters and unaffiliated voters. There's also a percentage of women who will vote for an alpha-tell it like it is male instead of going with hillary. Add to that Cruz has deep-pocket donors so he's still got promises to keep to the behind-closed-doors crowd.

So, yeah, Cruz people can unite with change. But they have to understand that it isn't their guy who's the game changer.

Beat me to it. I really like the site, but this is their second overtly anti-Cruz hit piece in as many days.

It’s not the statement itself, that’s fair game. It’s the denial and dodge that both the campaign and he did subsequent to it.

Just because you think a thing is a red flag does not mean that a thing is a red flag.

Cruz is not only supposed to say Trump would be the far better president he’s supposed to get on his knees and worship every brilliant word that comes out Trump’s big fat mouth ....otherwise it’s an attack!!! ..good grief

Get over yourself. It’s a campaign. News to you. Cruz is an honest man. He doesn’t have to feed anyone’s stooooooooopid, irrelevant fire. Get smart.
