Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump made the shortlist for TIME magazine's 2015 Person of the Year for his "populist rhetoric" in the 2016 presidential election that has "stirred debate about the party's future."

The magazine released its shortlist Monday morning with Trump making the cut among other finalists including Black Lives Matter activists, Russian president Vladimir Putin and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

You're hysterical, truly.

If you can't "do links" to prove your claims, then expect your claims to be taken with a whole lotta salt by people with sense.

Trump and his father donated to Reagan and Reagan had Donald to the White House and praised him.

PROVE IT.

Otherwise you are all and only talk.

In point of fact, Donald Trump actually supported Carter against Reagan in '79.

And he DID donate to Reagan in '84 ... after he donated to Mondale.

Another FReeper (I forget who) mentioned that so many Trump supporters seem to respond in one of three ways: deny, excuse, or avoid.

When I asked you to click on the link PROVING what I am saying about Trump, you responded as per the later (avoid) and with sneering condescension to boot:

Not going to bother; didums.

Is that the way Trump supporters "reason" their way to supporting him? Also ... you might learn about the proper use of semi-colons in punctuation. *sigh*

But both of these were brought up recently, after they failed the first time. VERY recently. That has to be a reaction to Trump. I know they are not brand new issues. But it’s in fact MORE remarkable that Congress is going BACK to them right now.

I wasn't "hawking" any of those nothingburgers and had to hold my nose to vote for them.

Well, you're certainly hawking one now.

Are we to assume, from your post, that you didn't vote for the last several GOP candidates? If so, that makes YOU far worse !

LOL! Sorry, I'm not a member of your club, and haven't been since 2007 - I have *no* responsibility to elect the GOP. That dynamic has drastically changed. If the GOP wants my vote, they can damn well give me someone to vote *for*. I will only vote for Conservatives.

If you want folks to vote for your candidates, put out a better product (and psst! Trump ain't it).

I would think Time will choose Trump as "man of the year" for their cover in hopes of SELLING a large amount of magazines.

If Trump sells magazines like he brings in TV ratings he's a shoe-in.

Absurdity.

Don’t blame me. If the GOP hadn’t lifted up a communist to challenge Obama, they might have won. When will y’all learn that you can’t out-liberal a liberal? Enough blame shifting, or the GOP will never change - There is where the fault lies.

If you had ANY idea how ineffective your jeering is...You’re not going to beat me back into line.

In fact, if it were possible, you would only be driving me further away. It is precisely what drove me away from the Republicans in the first place.

So when your ready to stand upon Conservative principles, and support actual Conservative candidates, give me a call. I’ll be right there with you.

Otherwise, forget it. I’m already gone.

Keep losing.

Trump’s platform is like Reagan’s.
I guess that Reagan just wasn’t CONSERVATIVE enough for you.

Trump’s platform is like Reagan’s.

I don't care about promises without the record to back it up. And Trump's record is l-i-b-e-r-a-l.

Makes for great Kabuki Theater, and I thank him for the great show... But he ain't got the Conservative stones to back up his mouth.

He has ALWAYS done what he says he's going to do. You just hate him and have a VERY closed mind.

Frankly, he doesn't need your vote, so stay home and hel,p Hillary, or vote for her for real.

He has ALWAYS done what he says he's going to do.

No he hasn't. He has failed more than once. And even if he does, what of what he hasn't promised? He's free to do anything he likes outside of the direct parameters of his promise. Contracts are funny that way. Be careful what you wish for. It better ALL be in writing. That's how contracts work. And don't think for a minute he doesn't know it.

You just hate him and have a VERY closed mind.

Riiiight... And I'm a racist. And a bigot. I know the whole liberal shtick. Funny how y'all resort to it.

I don't hate Trump. I don't care about him one way or the other. Other than his pretense toward Conservatism and designs on the Oval Office, I wouldn't have a comment at all.

Frankly, he doesn't need your vote [...]

Yeah I've heard that before... All the way up to September... Then the begging and pleading starts. Happens every time

so stay home and hel,p Hillary, or vote for her for real.

Ooh, yeah... because fear is a great motivator. Understand: Without Conservative principles, it's a pointless exercise. You'll just get more 'lesser evil'.

Commenting on Billy Jeff's first inaugural ball and the physical stature of his incoming Secretary of Labor, Rush Limbaugh remarked that they should have strapped a platter of hors d'oeuvres to Robert Reich's head, so that he could be of actual use circulating among the guests. He's 4′ 11″.
