A CNN reporter says that what really has shaken the people of Paris in the aftermath of the Nov. 13 terror attacks is that this time those killed by Islamist terrorists werenât just Jews or provocative cartoonists.
Talking to CNN host Don Lemon Monday night, reporter Martin Savidge tried to convey why the people of Paris view the Nov. 13 terror attacks differently than last Januaryâs Islamist terror attacks in Paris that targeted French cartoonists and Jews in a kosher grocery store.
âI think what really has shaken the people of Paris, theyâve grown accustom to the idea that of course the city is a target,â Savidge said from on the ground in the city of lights. âBut this particular assault, aside from the sheer numbers of people that were killed or wounded, it was the neighborhoods that were struck. It was the fact that this time no one was spared. It wasnât that a person was picked out because of their faith. It wasnât because a person was picked out because of their jobs such as Charlie Hebdo. This was just people â any kind of person. And that has really shaken the people of Paris. This time you could not explain it away as somebody elseâs threat.â
Ahh, so itâs more understandable when an Islamist terrorist murders a Jew because, well, itâs a Jew! What else should a Jew expect for being a Jew in Paris and shopping at a kosher grocery store, right? But when Islamist terrorists strike âjust peopleâ â âjustâ being a synonym for ârealâ here? â thatâs far more alarming.

So Jews are not people?
Great way to make us feel sorry for you Frogs — not.
Oh yeah, just the Jews are OK, not any of the other snarky residents.
The French expect their Muslims to be moderate Muslims, the kind that only kills Jews.
They’ve been listening to Kerry too much.
Martin Savidge sounding like John Kerry.
On one of the videos that has been making the rounds talking about the massive immigration in Europe, someone said Europe had to embrace multiculturalism if was going to survive and that it would be “hard on the Jews.” What? Why hard on the Jews more or less than anyone else? Where did that come from.
There is a new lunacy gene in the human gene pool lately and it is showing its ugly head everywhere.
This is a wakeup call to all of the european dhimmis, that despite all of their efforts, that appeasing the muslims will do no good, and that they will either have to convert, submit to slavery, or be killed. That is the way of islam.
Dont worry. We finally are feeling your pain in Syria and with this president.
It’s not a good feeling.
It’s maybe 10s of thousands being slaughtered because of their faith. Nothing close to the 6 million Jews of WWII, but i’m sure obama is working on it.
So Israel and what’s left of true Christians are what’s left to defend the world from islam.
oh boy
oh and Russia. If we dont end up going to war with them to protect islam.
it’s all insanity.
Wow! Reminds me of Martin Niemoeller, a Protestant minister in Germany under Hitler. His words: “First they came for the Socialists and I did nothing ...”
People have been refusing to answer that courtesy call for decades. Now the droning just gets louder and louder about how such a peaceful religion is being subverted by a few radicals and oh yeah, it’s not the muslims’ fault that their countries have been invaded by the evil Westerners.
Pick up the danged phone already, people! Don’t wait until it gets worse.
JUST Jews?
It was very specific. Non-muslims were targeted.
Like American liberals, I would bet many liberal French type people are wondering what they did to make the jihadis mad at them. And what can they now do to appease the jihadis. And the answer is: short of converting to Islam...nothing. Nothing but complete conversion i.e. submission will appease the jihadis.
The French are incredible pragmatists, the term “no permanent friends, just permanent interests” came from one of their own.
So this sort of sentiment isn’t surprising. Neither will be the need to go save their butts again for the fourth time in ~100 years (WWI and II, plus Indo-China) ...
Europe has for decades lavished money and sympathy on the Arabs on the West Bank and in Gaza. F the Israelis has been the major policy of Europe. Who cares if thousands of rockets are sent into Israel, Israel was wrong simple because it existed. Maybe they thought they were buying insurance with the money and juvenile support. Well in Paris the insurance company finally attacked them.
Now what do you have to say about Israel? Tell us French lovers of the world!
By rights the people in the U. S. should simply post support for the terrorists and donate major funds to them.
That’s what France and Europe has done for Israel. So why not treat it the same way?
The reason is, that we don’t favor terrorists and never will.
France, Europe, you are damned lucky we aren’t like you.
Pull your heads out and start supporting Jews and Israel.
Will you assholes never learn?
WWII and all that came with it? Decades of terrorism from the West Bank and Gaza against Israel... Now broad terrorism from the fellow travelers of the West Bank and Gaza... what will it take for you nimrods to wake up and smell the coffee?
Europe’s trendy anti-semitism won’t save them.
This attack was shocking to the leftwingers and their propaganda arm the “Mainstream Media”-—aggghh, spit-—since because the special people, socialists, hipster, cool, arty, trendy, better-than-you lefties got targeted.
Imagine the angst among Parisian journalists, college professors, arts critics, etc. thinking “Mon Gaia”!! “I go to Cafe XYZ frequently. I could have been a victim!”
First they come for the Saturday people. Then they come
for the Sunday people. Last they come for any person who is
not Muslim.
“First they come for the Saturday people. Then they come
for the Sunday people. Last they come for any person who is
not Muslim.”
But then they came for Chuck Norse... and boy did were they sorry!
