Donald Trump has re-established his commanding lead of the Republican presidential race in a new Washington Post/ABC News poll.
If anything, the poll shows that Trump's surge seems to be strong and possibly getting stronger. As the Post points out, the poll comes after a "tumultuous period that has included terrorist attacks in Paris, calls for stepped-up efforts to combat Islamic State militants, a backlash against accepting refugees from Syria, and two Republican debates..."
Trump's sizable lead puts him ahead of the popular but controversial Ben Carson. Trump leads the field with 32 percent support among registered Republicans and Republican-leaning independents. Running second is retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 22 percent. Both figures are identical to last month.
-snip-
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has hit his lowest percentage during two years of surveys.

“..You have swallowed Thad inaccurate dogma whole..”
I don’t swallow. I LISTEN.
We dogs still won’t eat the GOPe kibbles. Bad dogs!
SCENARIO
Let's say you are a rising executive for a Fortune 500 corporation. For many years, you have been carefully cultivating your contacts with other rising stars in this corporation, so you are now on a first name basis with all the top executives. The current CEO is retiring but you are not worried because you are sure that nothing will change with regard to your own position. After all, all the viable internal candidates that the board may select as new CEO are your cronies. Your good buddies. So no matter who they select, you are in like flynn.Hell, the board might even select YOU as the next CEO. You get all giddy with anticipation.
However, your entire world is shattered when you learn that the board of directors is not only considering an external candidate as the next CEO but are actively courting one in particular. One who has an industry-wide reputation of "cleaning house" and putting his own people into the top spots. Suddenly, you are in panic mode and in desperation, you enlist your other cronies in a campaign to damage this candidate's reputation with the board and give them second thoughts.
That is the situation Karl Rove and the GOPe are in now. The board (voters) are considering an external candidate which would surely mean an end to the carefully constructed world that they have put in place for themselves - and for their own benefit.
What a jackass
Ding, ding, dine - we have a thread winnah!
I have never been this excited about any candidate before, since 1972. Reagan was largely an unknown to me in 1980. So I was happy to vote for him but not as energized as now for Trump. I have watched Trump for over a decade being an avid golfer myself. I have seen his interactions with other people & his staff. So I know lot more about him. Every person who knows Trump comes away with a favorable impression. Even his ex-wife stands by him. That is very rare.
