The Black Lives Matter protester attacked during Donald's Trump's Birmingham rally said he was punched, kicked and called "n****r" while a group of eight or nine people were on top of him.
Mercutio Southall Jr., a well-known activist who said he has been tased at least 30 times and just recently marched heavily âarmed through a Birmingham neighborhood to teach people about gun rights, said he is sore after today's pummeling but doesn't think he was seriously injured.
"I'm alive,'' Southall told AL.com in his first interview since he was escorted out of the Birmingham- Jefferson Convention Complex.
Southall said he attended today's rally because of Trump's disparaging remarks about minorities â blacks, Latinos and most recently Muslims. "Birmingham is 75 percent black, so why did he choose to come here,'' Southall said. "He could have gone to Mountain Brook or Hoover, I know they have the venues that can handle his rhetoric."
Southall said the fracas began when one of his fellow activists was recording their presence at the rally, which they always do. He said, "I'm recording this live from the BJCC because we want Donald Trump to know he's not welcome here," and that's when someone knocked the phone out of the other man's hand.
"They said 'Go home, n****r, and somebody punched me,'' Southall said. "I punched back. You know don't do the turn-the-other-cheek (expletive)."
He said people encircled him, and he was being pushed and punched from every direction. Someone hit him from behind, and the next thing he knew, he was at the bottom of pile. He was kicked in the stomach, and the chest, both men and women. "I got enough people off of me that I was able to get up a little bit,'' he said. "Somebody got behind me and started...

...Today’s rally was not a protest, said Avee-Ashanti Shabazz and Mercutio Southall, co-founders of Birmingham’s Black Lives Matter Also-Birmingham, but an effort to educate the residents of their gun rights and their human rights...
...Shabazz’ second-cousin, Courtney Gadsden, was shot by Birmingham police Oct. 13. Birmingham police spokesman Lt. Sean Edwards two officers stopped a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Kingston Avenue and 47th Street just after 8 p.m. He said as the officers approached the vehicle they gave commands to the motorist, but he didn’t comply.
The driver got out and continued to refuse compliance, Edwards said. One of the officers deployed his stun gun. It is not yet clear if the stun gun struck him. At that point, the second officer saw the man was holding a weapon and fired on him, Edwards said. The gun was recovered at the scene. Edwards said “several shots” were fired. None of them were fired by the suspect...
...Shabazz said he doesn’t know all of the details surround the shooting of his cousin, who is a convicted felon and has served time in prison, according to court records...
That's a lovely strawman you've got there. So there's not much doubt in your mind that what he's saying actually happened?
Most people are more savvy now about how the media attempts to control the narrative by using slanted video, edited sound bites or simple lying. Fewer people are falling for it. The old game just isn’t working any more.
Because they would have had the sh1t kicked out of them and the media would be fine with that and even spike the story. Probably did/do the same for Hillary and Bernie.
It can be argued that when Trump reacts to the attacks, and that’s what they are, He will continue to gain strength. In so far as Trump is concerned, standing up to the disrupters and then attacking and belittling them provides more gain than loss.
“Birmingham is 75 percent black, so why did he choose to come here,’’ Southall said. “He could have gone to Mountain Brook or Hoover, I know they have the venues that can handle his rhetoric.”
Maybe cuz its a free country? Maybe you were outnumbered 1 to 5000?
dummy.
Are these guys in the actors screen guild union?
Don't believe him.
“I know they have venues that can handle his rhetoric.”
It sounds like he’s been schooled by the local communist organizer in his neighborhood.
IMHO
That’s because, generally speaking, the people who opposed BHO were civilized. They were busy going to work, taking care of their families and going about their business - no time to be a you-know-what disturber.
Sometimes "physical violence" is the best and only way to mitigate a threat. You never know who might have a gun, knife or a suicide vest. Trying to reason calmly with a possible killer may work and it may not. Israel has learned this lesson many times. The French are learning.
Sounds like the black guy got his comeuppance; I like that word don’t you?? You keep playing with Fire and you’ll get burned.....
One of the reasons the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was successful was our rules on handling disrupters.
We knew that the media would make us the bad guys if we pushed back.
Tasered 30 times at Trump rally or just in general. Did he go the hospital to document this alleged beating?
If there was a crowd and he started acting up it is possible he was jostled. It happens in a crowd.
‘Crazed Black Activist Storms Trump Rally â Is Tackled to Floor, Tossed (VIDEO)’
Today in Alabama a far left black activist stormed the rally.
He was quickly tackled on the floor.
The media says he was tackled and shoved by the Trump supporters.
But rarely is this the entire story â But it fits the leftâs narrative.
BLM is just another outgrowth of the DyckTater’s cursed adminstration.
Many Blacks feel they are above the law since the crowning of the Lawless Won.
I believe he soooooooo wanted to be called a ni??er. These people are pathetic.
