Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.
âTed Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,â he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.
âWell, I like him,â Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. "Heâs backed everything Iâve said.â Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal.
The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.
Still, Trump suggested late Monday that he will turn on Cruz if he becomes a threat to his front-runner status.
âIf he catches on, I guess weâll have to go to war,â he told host Joe Kernen on CNBCâs âSquawk Box.â

I like what trumps says - but wow he has an ego. For what we're asking him to walk into, he'd better.

Yep they aren’t going to get into the VP slots when they haven’t even had the first primary.
Some supporters want the sky. Look at what Cruz said about Walker exiting. No candidate is
going to bash another when they are in the vote pandering mode.

Yes. It’s the only means to get Cruz into the corner office. Trump is the conduit.

Actually Donald, YOU have adopted pretty much most of the positions that Cruz had been advocating for a long time. Cruz has conservative instincts. He does not need to go back to his advisers to find out what the conservative position would be on an issue.

Here's a less audacious version... 8^)

I think Trump/Cruz is the best we are going to get. Cruz is my preference intellectually, but I think we need Donald to break heads and keep Cruz from being railroaded.

I'll believe Trump will pick Cruz as VP when I see it.
Me too. Never happen.
It's all part of Trump's strategy.

Trump is goading Cruz, IMHO.
‘..now agrees with every thing I say.”
How many possibilities has Trump trotted out, not, for VP?
Oprah. Palin. Chick on SNL. et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Cruz won’t bite.
To: Cobra64
Besides heâd be 77 at the end of a second term. As was Reagan.

Yep. I donated to Cruz from the beginning and I'm very likely to vote for Trump in the primary.

He was stating fact. He was saying gently that Cruz has copied all the positions that appeal to the voters. Not ego, but politeness.
To: GlockLady
Bingo! I think you got it.
